Breakfast with Santa at NorthPark


For the past 30 years, the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center has hosted Breakfast with Santa Spectacular, a beloved holiday tradition. Since 1989, families have greeted Santa over a delicious breakfast and enjoyed a morning full of festivities, including photos with the iconic NorthPark Santa, face painting, balloon art, special character appearances, musical performances, live reindeer and much, much more. This year, we are thrilled to again host the 31st Annual Breakfast with Santa Spectacular at NorthPark Center on Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.!

Women's Auxiliary to Children's Medical Center Invites You to 'Join in July'

Are you looking for a tangible way to make life better for children? Consider joining the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center or renewing your membership.
 
July is membership month for this 700-member strong organization, whose mission is to raise funds for and provide support to Children’s Medical Center. Annual membership dues are $50 at the Friend Level and $100 at the Patron Level. Lifetime memberships are available for a one-time only payment of $1,000.
 
The nonprofit organization was established in 1962 by community leaders. In 2010 the Legacy Chapter of the Women’s Auxiliary was formed to help meet the needs of Children’s Medical Center at Legacy in Plano. To date, both the Dallas and the Legacy chapters of the Women’s Auxiliary have given more than $18 million to Children’s. This past year, the two chapters raised $702,000 through a variety of special events. In addition to Breakfast with Santa, Dinner with Mrs. Claus, Family Night at Six Flags and the Legacy of Love Fashion Show, the auxiliaries offer uplifting activities for patients and their families, provide support and recognition for hospital staff, and raise awareness in the community.

Second Annual Legacy of Love Featured Spring Fashions and Savory Bites

On April 16, The Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center, Legacy Chapter, partnered with Park Place Lexus and TOOTSIES to host the second annual Legacy of Love Benefit, Fashion Show and luxury raffle. The event took place at the Park Place Lexus dealership in Plano.

Over 300 guests attended and enjoyed a fashion show directed by RSC Show Productions featuring spring fashions available at TOOTSIES, along with delicious savory bites, with dessert specially provided by Seasons 52 plus a specialty vodka drink offered by Deep Eddy Vodka.

Several local fashion influencers attended the event, including Courtney Kerr of KTXD’s The Broadcast and What Courtney Wore; Lauren Scruggs of LOLO Magazine; and Shannon Yoachum of Style by Lolly. The three provided panel commentary during the fashion show.

The event raised over $130,000, with all proceeds benefiting Children’s Medical Center as it continues to uphold its mission of making life better for children for more than 100 years.

25th Annual Breakfast with Santa


 

The Women's Auxiliary to Children's Medical Center, Dallas Chapter and Wells Fargo are honored to present the 25th Annual Breakfast with Santa, a charity event benefitting Children's Medical Center.

Celebrate the season with your family and friends, and enjoy an entertaining breakfast full of holiday cheer! Festivities include photographs with Santa Claus, face painting and balloon twisters by Faces by Darlene, and special shows by Bonkers, the Clown. Children of all ages will get in the holiday spirit by mingling with jolly Christmas characters and enjoying Christmas caroling.

Breakfast with Santa begins at 8:30 am on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the historic Adolphus Hotel. The annual event is followed by the legendary Children's Medical Center Holiday Parade presented by Pizza Hut at 10:00 am.

Tickets are $70 per person (regardless of age) and include a plated pancake breakfast, 5 x 7 photo with Santa and reserved bleacher seating for the parade. The reserved seating is conveniently located near the entrance to the Adolphus Hotel. This has become an annual holiday tradition that quickly sells out. If you plan to spend to spend the night at The Adolphus Hotel, make your reservations early. Standard rates apply.

Legacy of Love Benefit and Fashion Show


To commemorate the centennial celebration of Children’s Medical Center, the Legacy Chapter of the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center has partnered with jcpenney to host an exciting fashion presentation, fundraising event and luxury raffle. The event committee has challenged the community to raise $100,000 for Children’s Medical Center in honor of their 100 years serving the Dallas area. The event will take place on March 26 at jcpenney’s home office in Plano just west of the Children’s Medical Center at Legacy campus.

Along with delicious bites from Wolfgang Puck’s team, guests will be treated to a fashion show showcasing more than 40 fashion looks for men, women and children available at jcpenney. Joe Mimran, creative director of Joe Fresh, will feature looks from the Joe Fresh collection, which will debut at jcpenney this spring. Mimran is an accomplished clothing and home designer whose influence is found with brands such as Club Monaco and Caban.

Special guest, Mackinlee Waddell, a patient of Children’s Medical Center who received open-heart surgery at the young age of five, will speak at the event. Bringing it all together is “America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru,” Steve Kemble, who will emcee the event, sharing his passion for philanthropy and fashion and encouraging guests to support the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center, Legacy Chapter.   

Luxury raffle tickets -- $25 each or 5 for $100 -- are available and winners need not be present to win. Raffle prizes include: a Dream Getaway to the Broadmoor Hotel, Diane Von Furstenberg dress and handbag, Lagos Jewelry, David Yurman Jewelry, Apple Ipad, Michael Kors Designer Bag hand selected and signed by Kors himself, jcp Dream Fashion Package, Dr Delphinium Floral Class and more!

All of the net proceeds from the Legacy of Love Benefit & Fashion Show will go directly to Children’s Medical Center.

“The women of Collin County recognize a worthy cause when they see it.  You can say Children’s at Legacy was love at first sight,” said Susan Spindler, event chair of the Women’s Auxiliary of Children’s Medical Center, Legacy Chapter. “This signature event will be a great fundraiser for Children’s and we are grateful to jcpenney for their support to launch The Legacy of Love Benefit & Fashion Show,” continued Spindler.

2011 Family Night at Six Flags

Over the last 42 years, Family Night at Six Flags has proven to be a memorable event and an annual tradition for many Texas families. The 2011 Family Night at Six Flags is scheduled for Friday, April 1, from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. with something for everyone throughout the 212-acre park from pulse pounding roller coasters for big kids to the gentler options found in the land of Looney Tunes.

Plan to enjoy the fun evening with family and friends as we support and celebrate the vital treasure that is Children's Medical Center.

Critical care needs funded by the Auxiliary through Family Night at Six Flags sponsorships have included life-support and surgical equipment, patient service improvements, intensive care needs, and critical training programs. This event would not be possible without the generous support of local corporate sponsors.

Purchase tickets for only $25 in advance at the Cash Office in all Tom Thumb, Flagship Tom Thumb and Simon David Stores.
This event is free for children ages 2 and under.
