The morning begins with a mimosa reception followed by a program and a formal floor level fashion presentation featuring fashions from TOOTSIES produced by Jan Strimple, which is always a fabulous event including fun surprises. It is all topped off with a delicious luncheon.

Beneficiaries include Children’s Medical Center Foundation, Camp Reynal, Texas Health Resources Foundation, Southwest Transplant Alliance and the Parkland Health and Hospital Foundation.

Underwriting begins at $2,500 and levels up to $50,000. Table Hosts, Sponsors and Underwriters benefits include preferred seating at the luncheon and style show, special program visibility and more. A limited number of $250 seats are available. Patron Individual seating tickets are at $500 and $1,000.

KidneyTexas Luncheon and Fashion Show Takes a New Format This Year

 

Sandy Secor, president of KidneyTexas, Inc. and Sharon Ballew, Luncheon Chair, along with Jolie Humphrey, honorary chair, announce an entirely new format for the event happening on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

Table hosts at $3,500 and above will have champagne, a table centerpiece and lunch delivered to their home or business for their guests. Table hosts at higher levels will enjoy a society photographer dropping by to capture photos of the fun and more.  Individual tickets begin at $350 and include a lunch delivered to their home or business. All levels include recognition in the program and the show. While everyone enjoys lunch, the Kidney Texas Show will be streamed to watch in the comfort of their home or business.

A highlight of The Kidney Texas Show will be the fashion show sponsored by TOOTSIES and produced by the renowned Jan Strimple Productions. There will be special awards presented by Scott Murray, emcee, as well as a few surprise segments guests will enjoy and find informative.

Raffle tickets are available for $25 each or five for $100.  
Nine lucky winners will receive one container each of this prize:

Ms. Holly Pellham Davis and her daughter Landry Davis served as ESTEEM’s 2014 Co-Chairs with Brendan Higgins and Amy Vanderoff of WFAA’s Good Morning Texas serving as emcees with Nerissa Von Helpenstill, TOOTSIES Store Director, offering fashion commentary.

Suits for Shelters Launched with Think Pink Party

Mary Kay Inc. and Tootsies hosted a “Think Pink Launch Party,” kicking off the sixth annual Suits for Shelters program, on Thursday, July 10 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Maleiah and Ryan Rogers welcomed over 150 partygoers dressed in pink attire for a festive evening benefiting The Mary Kay FoundationSM. Attendees arrived with new and gently used women’s professional attire, shoes and accessories for local shelters -- quickly filling four clothing racks with their donations. Tootsies generously rewarded each donor with a $25 gift card as a thank you.

While partygoers mingled and shopped, they sipped champagne and enjoyed delicious bites courtesy of Two Sisters Catering including Thai beef cucumber cups, lobster avocado endive spoons, citrus infused shrimp, beef tenderloin au poivre crostini, grilled portobello and red pepper satay, with chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.

As guests took their seats along the runway, Crayton Webb, vice president of corporate social responsibility and corporate communications, welcomed everyone and thanked them for attending and supporting Suits for Shelters. He then recognized the nine beneficiary organizations that had representatives serving as models for the upcoming fashion show: Attitudes and Attire, Brighter Tomorrows, Denton County Friends of the Family, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Hope’s Door, Mosaic Family Service, New Beginning Center, The Battered Women’s Foundation and The Family Place.

Ryan Rogers, Chief Investment Officer for Mary Kay Inc. whose grandmother founded the Mary Kay FoundationSM in 1996, took the podium and echoed Webb’s thanks before revealing the Foundation has granted $54 million dollars since its inception to organizations fighting cancers affecting women and shelters for survivors of domestic violence.

I think that most women can feel transformed by a new outfit. I’ve seen it happen in my own home and I’m sure that most of you here tonight know what I’m talking about,” remarked Rogers, “It’s our hope that in some small way we can help a woman gain financial freedom, independence and a life free from abuse.”

Rogers then reminded guests that this year’s event included a raffle, with tickets on sale through the end of the fashion show and the winners announced immediately following. Raffle prizes included a Mary Kay gift basket with $500 Tootsies gift card, a Mary Kay gift basket with $100 Tootsies gift card and a grand prize with the winner getting to select a women’s organization in Dallas to receive a $5,000 donation.

The runway show began with emcee, WFAA-TV’s Cynthia Izaguirre, introducing the beautiful models from Suits for Shelters beneficiaries as they proudly walked the catwalk in gorgeous fashions, featuring summer trends, as well as clothing and accessories in all shades of pink. 

Hosts Ryan and Maleiah Rogers returned to the podium for one final announcement - the winners of the raffle prizes. Grand prize winner Lt. Miguel Sarmiento chose Genesis Women's Shelter as the beneficiary of the $5,000 donation.

Heart of a Warrior - Deals & Dreams Casino Night Kickoff

On Wednesday, March 26, Tootsies and Gail Warrior, Founder and Chairwoman of Heart of a Warrior Charitable Foundation (HOAW), hosted the Deals & Dreams Casino Night Kickoff. HOAW received 10% of the proceeds from the evening, including sales through March 29th from guests who attended the event.

The evening included cocktails by Lucky Player Vodka, lite bites from R+D Kitchen and a runway show of Tootsie’s favorite spring and summer looks, which featured Blanshay Jewelry and DL1961 Denim.

Throughout the evening guests entered their names for a raffle prize of two courtside seats to the Dallas Mavericks. Ralph Harper, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Catherine L. Harper Foundation, was the lucky raffle prize winner.

The Warren Center Hosts Friends of the Warren Center Spring Soiree

On Thursday, April 3rd,Tootsies hosted the Warren Center’s inaugural initiative group launch of the Friends of the Warren Center with a Spring Fashion and Wine Stroll which included women’s fashions by TOOTSIES and men’s fashions by Edo Popken, light bites and shopping proceeds going back to the organization.

Wilkinson Center CAN DO Luncheon - Kickoff Event {Society Photos}

TOOTSIES to host The Salvation Army’s Open Your Heart Open Your Closet

 TOOTSIES, located in the Plaza at Preston Center, is set to host The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary “Open Your Hearts, Open Your Closets” event on Wednesday, February 13th from 6pm-8pm. Guests may donate their gently used clothing and accessories for the upcoming 2013 Fashion Show & Luncheon being held on May 6, 2013 at Brook Hollow Golf Club.
