Legacy of Love Benefit and Fashion Show

To commemorate the centennial celebration of Children’s Medical Center, the Legacy Chapter of the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center has partnered with jcpenney to host an exciting fashion presentation, fundraising event and luxury raffle. The event committee has challenged the community to raise $100,000 for Children’s Medical Center in honor of their 100 years serving the Dallas area. The event will take place on March 26 at jcpenney’s home office in Plano just west of the Children’s Medical Center at Legacy campus.

Along with delicious bites from Wolfgang Puck’s team, guests will be treated to a fashion show showcasing more than 40 fashion looks for men, women and children available at jcpenney. Joe Mimran, creative director of Joe Fresh, will feature looks from the Joe Fresh collection, which will debut at jcpenney this spring. Mimran is an accomplished clothing and home designer whose influence is found with brands such as Club Monaco and Caban.

Special guest, Mackinlee Waddell, a patient of Children’s Medical Center who received open-heart surgery at the young age of five, will speak at the event. Bringing it all together is “America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru,” Steve Kemble, who will emcee the event, sharing his passion for philanthropy and fashion and encouraging guests to support the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center, Legacy Chapter.

Luxury raffle tickets -- $25 each or 5 for $100 -- are available and winners need not be present to win. Raffle prizes include: a Dream Getaway to the Broadmoor Hotel, Diane Von Furstenberg dress and handbag, Lagos Jewelry, David Yurman Jewelry, Apple Ipad, Michael Kors Designer Bag hand selected and signed by Kors himself, jcp Dream Fashion Package, Dr Delphinium Floral Class and more!

All of the net proceeds from the Legacy of Love Benefit & Fashion Show will go directly to Children’s Medical Center.

“The women of Collin County recognize a worthy cause when they see it.  You can say Children’s at Legacy was love at first sight,” said Susan Spindler, event chair of the Women’s Auxiliary of Children’s Medical Center, Legacy Chapter. “This signature event will be a great fundraiser for Children’s and we are grateful to jcpenney for their support to launch The Legacy of Love Benefit & Fashion Show,” continued Spindler.
The Legacy of Love Benefit & Fashion Show committee is being led by Event Chair Susan Spindler and Sponsorship Chair and Auxiliary President Rebecca Egelston-Caso along with many dedicated members including Beth Webb, Heather Goodman, Pam Dolberry, Justine Sweeney, Lori Geer, Wendy Blackwell, Lora McCorkle, Peggy Pratt, Ann Boswell, Cindy Sutley, Joyce Logan, Debbie Braun, Lisa Raskin, Diane Hopson, Sandy Brennan, Trista Goguen, Joyce Houlihan, Sheri Steele, Joa Muns, Cheryl Joyner, Bridget Todd, Wendy Engibous and Kim Gleason.
