An Evening for Dog Lovers
Join Teresa Berg Photography on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, for live classical music from Oboist Erin Hannigan & friends from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in the beautiful intimate setting of Event 1013 in old downtown Plano. The concert is a live fusion of music and fine art photography -- celebrating what else? Dogs!

Each ticket includes the concert, silent auction, wine & dessert. Proceeds go to Paws In the City, a 501(c)3 dedicated to saving homeless animals in the Dallas area.

One Arts Plaza Fall Block Party
One Arts Plaza will host its third annual Fall Block Party this Sunday, October 14 from 12-4 pm as part of the Dallas Arts District’s Art in October Celebration.
The Plaza will be closed off for pedestrian-only traffic where guests can enjoy food demonstrations from foodie favorites Tei-An, Fedora and Jorge’s along with newcomers The Greek and Café Des Artistes. Don’t miss the infamous Cocktail Competition at 1 pm with local celebrity judges CultureMap Dallas editor Jennifer Chinnis, Dallas’ Most Eligible cast member and Paws In The City activist Tara Harper, Mike Hiller, editor of the popular food, wine and restaurant site EscapeHatchDallas, America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru Steve Kemble and social media strategist, southern belle and blogger Cynthia Smoot.
Seventeen local food and gift vendors, such as The Feather Junkie, Kruffles Dallas, Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters, Pop Star Popsicles and Three Dog Barkery, will set up shop around the plaza for adults, kids and dogs alike. The Southland Swing Band will provide a jazzy soundtrack all afternoon. Special thanks to floral sponsor, Gro Designs.
Paws In The City, DFW Rescue Me and Greyhound Adoption League of Texas will also be on hand featuring pet adoptions and information. Be sure to bring your four legged friends for a Halloween Costume Contest at 3 pm!
Host, model, actress and Dallas local LeeAnne Locken will serve as emcee for this fun-filled fall celebration.
Admission is free and open to the public.

LIVE 80 for Hairballs & Hair Bands
PAWS IN THE CITY presents Hairballs and Hair Bands, their second annual holiday party on November 18th, 2010. The event will be held at Park Lane, the new development across from NorthPark Mall. Live 80, a talented new rock group, will perform for the second year in a row, after their outstanding performance at last year’s party. Also in store for the evening is a costume contest, and guests are encouraged to arrive in head-to-toe 80’s garb! Tickets can be purchased at pawsinthecity.org and include FREE food from La Grange, The Hacienda, and more, plus two vouchers. Vouchers can be used for buying drinks, raffle tickets, merchandise, or photos from the photo booth!
*The event is from 7-11 pm and guests must be 21 to enter.
Paws in the City is a nonprofit organization that serves to reduce overpopulation and abuse of Dallas area cats and dogs. The organization aims to provide a loving family for every dog and cat.
