$30 Donation includes: entrance for you and your K-9 friend, hors d' oeuvres, glass of wine, raffle ticket, and cake for your pooch.

There will be a silent auction, raffle prizes and you and your pup can have your picture taken with Santa.

One Arts Plaza Fall Block Party

One Arts Plaza will host its third annual Fall Block Party this Sunday, October 14 from 12-4 pm as part of the Dallas Arts District’s Art in October Celebration.

The Plaza will be closed off for pedestrian-only traffic where guests can enjoy food demonstrations from foodie favorites Tei-An, Fedora and Jorge’s along with newcomers The Greek and Café Des Artistes. Don’t miss the infamous Cocktail Competition at 1 pm with local celebrity judges CultureMap Dallas editor Jennifer Chinnis, Dallas’ Most Eligible cast member and Paws In The City activist Tara Harper, Mike Hiller, editor of the popular food, wine and restaurant site EscapeHatchDallas, America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru Steve Kemble and social media strategist, southern belle and blogger Cynthia Smoot.

Seventeen local food and gift vendors, such as The Feather Junkie, Kruffles Dallas, Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters, Pop Star Popsicles and Three Dog Barkery, will set up shop around the plaza for adults, kids and dogs alike. The Southland Swing Band will provide a jazzy soundtrack all afternoon. Special thanks to floral sponsor, Gro Designs.

Paws In The City, DFW Rescue Me and Greyhound Adoption League of Texas will also be on hand featuring pet adoptions and information. Be sure to bring your four legged friends for a Halloween Costume Contest at 3 pm!

Host, model, actress and Dallas local LeeAnne Locken will serve as emcee for this fun-filled fall celebration.

Admission is free and open to the public.



Kibble & Cocktails

I am so excited to share the Kibble & Cocktails event with you! This event, presented by Dallas' very own Barking Hound Village, will be held Tuesday, April 24th at The Plaza at Turtle Creek Conservatory and supports DFW Rescue Me.




The evening will be hosted by Jenna Owens from the Kid Kraddick Show and will feature cocktails and bites from restaurant favorites including Jorge's, Lombardi's, Nick & Sam's, Steel, Victor Tango's, Jackson Family Wines, Hendrick's Gin, Milagro Tequila, and Stoli Vodka.

This is sure to be an exciting evening filled with some truly wonderful individuals from all around the community joining together to support the DFW Rescue Me organization. So, please, purchase your tickets here and I will see you at the cocktail party!

Howl at Hillside

HOWL AT HILLSIDE

is a dog adoption event to benefit the White Rock Lake Dog Park

Dallas Animal Services, DFW Rescue Me, Metroplex Mutts, & Operation Kindness will have dogs available for adoption.

David Woo, author of Top Dogs and Their Pets, will be signing and selling copies of his book. There will be a silent auction of the following prints:
· Nolan Ryan's 5,000th strikeout pitch, signed by Nolan Ryan and David Woo
· Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan. This is the only image of these two famous golfers together since 1947, which is signed by both golfers and David Woo
· Caesar Millan with his dogs, signed by Caesar Millan and David Woo
· Dr. Phil, signed by Dr. Phil and David WooThe Peninsula Neighborhood Association, Inc. (the Taste of White Rock Dinner Club Books) will donate 1/2 of the $10 sale price of the books sold at this event to the Dog Park (up to $500).
