Thrift Studio - Last Few Days to Shop!
Dwell with Dignity's Thrift Studio is open through May 3rd!
Hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm, and there is no cost for admission.
There are still a few days to shop furniture, artwork and accessories at deeply discounted prices.
100% of proceeds support Dwell with Dignity's mission.
“We replenish the studio daily, so there’s always something new to discover,” said Teresa Charnock, executive director of Dwell with Dignity. “Every purchase helps us transform spaces into homes for families who are coming out of difficult situations and supports schools and nonprofits that need beautiful, functional spaces to further their mission.”
Thrift Studio features six new designers annually who install vignettes using their own donated inventory. The pop-up also includes a curated selection of general donated furniture and décor, as well as artwork collected at the Art+Color Party.
The 2025 Thrift Studio is chaired by Samantha Reitmayer Sano and Joslyn Taylor Swoon, the studio, and Art Chair Hannah Brown, Hannah Brown Art.

Texas Ale Project® Announces Somethin’ Bacon World Food Championship Qualifier Event
Dallas Design District’s popular craft brewery, Texas Ale Project, has yet another fun and creative event on their fall roster. After celebrating their 6th Anniversary on Dallas’ craft beer scene with a 4-day TAP Fest in June, TAP has announced that they will host Somethin’ Bacon – A World Food Championship qualifier event – in early fall on Saturday, September 18th, 2021.
Somethin’ Bacon will take the place of the previously held Somethin’ Cheesy event that TAP has previously hosted. They have partnered with the World Food Championships and will host the Bacon qualifying round at the brewery.
This unique event will have live music, food truck(s), and judging for the bacon competition. And who doesn’t love bacon?
Culinary enthusiasts from all over the
metroplex will come together as they prepare their best bacon dish or food item
to win the popular vote, and a chance to compete in the World Food
Championships coming to Dallas in November 2021.

Calling All Heroes Event
"Every 90 minutes a person is diagnosed with ALS, and every 90 minutes another person dies of ALS."
ALS, often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The disease mostly strikes adults between the ages of 40 and 70, and as many as 30,000 Americans have the disease at any given time.
The Ben E Keith Calling All Heroes Fundraiser is a signature event benefiting the ALS Association of North Texas. The inaugural event takes place on Friday, July 8, 2011, at eM in the Dallas Design District. The evening includes entertainment, dancing, live and silent auctions, food and open bar.

DJCC's TASTE 2011
The Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce invites you to their 10th Annual Wine Tasting, TASTE. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the DJCC Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind and the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS), which assists visually-impaired individuals and their families.TASTE will be held Saturday, February 26 at Samuel Lynne Galleries in the Dallas Design District. Purchase your ticket early to avoid the possibility of a sold-out event. Ticket prices are $30 for DJCC members and $35 for guests. You can purchase tickets here. Tickets will be $40 at the door on the day of the event.
This charitable social event will feature premier wines from around the globe at the acclaimed Samuel Lynne Galleries. Dallas-area young professionals, art aficionados and wine enthusiasts will sample an array of wines from around the globe. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served and guests will have the chance to bid on exciting silent auction items while enjoying the vibrant art featured throughout the gallery.

This party will not be lacking anything: DJ Masai will be spinning the best of the 80's, 90's and 2010 for great dancing, Darian Thomas fashion show, pop up dance by members of The Dallas Conservatory, art exhibitions and previews and so much more!
