Nexus Recovery Center has been the beneficiary of the Westapher Auction and Golf Tournament since 2005 yet Nexus has been turning lives around for women and their children for more than 40 years. The center which sits on a 12 acre campus in East Dallas, offers a full range of recovery services from detoxification through residential and outpatient treatment –even aftercare and housing services. Nexus offers programs for adult women and adolescent girls ages 13 to 17, including those who are pregnant or accompanied by children. Nexus is one of only a few national programs that invite women to bring their children into treatment. Nexus is the only treatment center in Texas that accepts late term pregnant and newly parenting adolescents. By allowing children to accompany their mothers into treatment and by providing treatment regardless of ability to pay, Nexus removes barriers for recovery.
Jan Madigan, Betsy Chambers, Carolyn Waghorne, Robin Bagwell
The Preston Center Rotary Club and those who participate in the two days of fundraising help keep these hopeful women of Nexus on the right path. Faye Briggs, a dedicated member of the Nexus Women's Auxiliary, will host the Westapher Auction party at her sprawling Preston Hollow home on Sunday, October 6th, where guests will tour her lovely estate, mingle with Dallas notables and bid on coveted auction items.
