Artists for Animals Concert - February 13th


Love music, art and animals? We've got the perfect Valentine's Day event for you. Join Erin Hannigan and other members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra with artists and musicians from all over Texas, to celebrate our love for animals and raise money for Operation Kindness, the oldest and largest no-kill animal shelter in north Texas.
 
Tickets include wine, beer, coffee and some amazing posh desserts -- and, of course, the concert and silent auction. Your Valentine will be so impressed!

Lena Pope Home has provided hope, happiness, and success for children and families in North Texas through counseling and education. Lena Pope Counseling is dedicated to meeting the mental health and substance abuse treatment needs of families in Fort Worth and surrounding areas.

Operation Kindness cares for homeless cats and dogs in a no-kill environment until each is adopted into responsible homes. Operation Kindness is a non-profit organization that advocates for humane values and behavior. All income comes from donations from individuals and businesses, adoptions and fundraising events.

Vogel Alcove provides free, quality child development services for Dallas’ youngest victims of poverty: homeless children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Vogel Alcove is the only comprehensive early childhood education program in Dallas that provides free childcare and case management for children and families residing at emergency shelters, domestic violence shelters and housing programs.

Since 1934, Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro has served as the camp for tens of thousands of campers, specifically children who have lost one or both parents. Children come to camp to learn how to manage the grieving process and make friends with other children who are also grieving.

Operation Kindness Presents Artists for Animals - a Concert Fusion Experience

Join Operation Kindness for a special evening filled with music, photography and art. Guests are invited to sip wine and savor tasty treats while listening to musical performances by members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Southern Methodist University Oboe Studio — paired with an animal photography show by Teresa Berg. Guests will also enjoy a gallery of animal artwork created by students from Booker T. Washington, available for purchase in addition to a silent auction. Artists for Animals Concert Supporting Operation Kindness

Artists for Animals is a concert fusion of live classical music from Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Principal Oboe, Erin Hannigan and several other DSO musicians and fine art photography from Teresa Berg. All proceeds from Artists For Animals will benefit Operation Kindness No-kill Animal Shelter.

Original art and art photography will be offered during the silent auction and artists will be in attendance to demonstrate and talk about their creative process. There will also be a fantasy ped bed competition where the winning designer receives $250! The fantasy pet beds will be available for purchase.

The event will take place on Friday, March 14th from 7:00-10:00pm at the Addison Conference and Theatre Centre.  For questions, please contact us at events@operationkindness.org

“Santa Paws” Pet Photos at Hotel Palomar Dallas

Santa is coming to pet-friendly Hotel Palomar Dallas on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 2-4pm! Bring your furry friends and pose for a free holiday photo. Enjoy tasty treats and sipping warm cider and hot chocolate or a holiday craft cocktail from Central 214’s Amber West. Personal cameras welcome. Pro photos will be posted to Hotel Palomar’s Facebook page for easy download the following week.  Donations are encouraged to support Operation Kindness.

Operation Kindness Reports Record-High Adoption Numbers in 2012

We are so thrilled to share the exciting news that in 2012 more animals were adopted from Operation Kindness than ever before! Founded in 1976, Operation Kindness is North Texas' oldest and largest no-kill animal shelter.  Operation Kindness provides a healthy living environment for homeless cats and dogs until they find responsible, loving homes for those animals in their care.

Howl at Hillside

is a dog adoption event to benefit the White Rock Lake Dog Park

Dallas Animal Services, DFW Rescue Me, Metroplex Mutts, & Operation Kindness will have dogs available for adoption.

David Woo, author of Top Dogs and Their Pets, will be signing and selling copies of his book. There will be a silent auction of the following prints:
· Nolan Ryan's 5,000th strikeout pitch, signed by Nolan Ryan and David Woo
· Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan. This is the only image of these two famous golfers together since 1947, which is signed by both golfers and David Woo
· Caesar Millan with his dogs, signed by Caesar Millan and David Woo
· Dr. Phil, signed by Dr. Phil and David WooThe Peninsula Neighborhood Association, Inc. (the Taste of White Rock Dinner Club Books) will donate 1/2 of the $10 sale price of the books sold at this event to the Dog Park (up to $500). 16th Annual Dog Day Afternoon Benefiting Operation Kindness





Come out for a fun-filled day at White Rock Lake for The 16th Annual Dog Day Afternoon presented by Pet Supplies Plus and benefiting Operation Kindness.

This is a celebration for dogs that you and your whole family should attend. There will be face painting for the children, free goodie bags, canine contests with wonderful prizes and so much more!
