Thrift Studio - Last Few Days to Shop!

Dwell with Dignity's Thrift Studio is open through May 3rd!

Hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm, and there is no cost for admission.

There are still a few days to shop furniture, artwork and accessories at deeply discounted prices.

100% of proceeds support Dwell with Dignity's mission.

“We replenish the studio daily, so there’s always something new to discover,” said Teresa Charnock, executive director of Dwell with Dignity. “Every purchase helps us transform spaces into homes for families who are coming out of difficult situations and supports schools and nonprofits that need beautiful, functional spaces to further their mission.”

Thrift Studio features six new designers annually who install vignettes using their own donated inventory. The pop-up also includes a curated selection of general donated furniture and décor, as well as artwork collected at the Art+Color Party.

The 2025 Thrift Studio is chaired by Samantha Reitmayer Sano and Joslyn Taylor Swoon, the studio, and Art Chair Hannah Brown, Hannah Brown Art.

Dwell with Dignity’s Thrift Studio event is a fundraiser like no other!
Thrift Studio is a pop-up shop created to provide financial viability for Dwell with Dignity by selling donated furniture, housewares, accessories and high-end designer finds to the public. Since the concept launched in Dallas in 2011, the event has grown into a highly anticipated and can’t-miss event for DwD supporters, the interior design community and the general public looking for a fabulous deal on home furnishings.

Inside, Thrift Studio shoppers find stunning vignettes created by leading designers, showrooms and retailers featuring donated high-end home decor items sold at significant discounts with 100% of sales benefitting Dwell with Dignity’s mission.

Thrift Studio provides one-third of the operating revenue that allows Dwell with Dignity to change lives through design by bringing good design to those who can afford it the least.  We provide the stability, comfort and pride needed to change the course of the lives of the families we help.  We cannot do that without the support of our largest fundraiser, Thrift Studio.

Inaugural Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas

For 47 years, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club has celebrated the best of interior design by transforming a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art, and technology. In 2017, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club expanded the brand to Palm Beach, and this Fall, Kips Bay is expanding here to Dallas.

The inaugural Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas opened its doors last week and is open to the public through Sunday, October 25.  Twenty-seven of the country's most celebrated designers and architects have transformed the Dallas mansion located at 5828 Woodland Drive in Old Preston Hollow.

Proceeds from the Dallas Show House will benefit the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx, NY, as well as local charities Dwell with Dignity and The Crystal Charity Ball.

The garden-themed entry foyer, designed by Lauren Rottet of Rottet Studio, is ultra welcoming.  According to Rottet, the entry symbolizes the heart of the home. With a nod to Southern gardens, Kyle Bunting custom hide rugs are accentuated with magnolia petals, while a tiered chandelier from Jean de Merry Showroom hangs above. Topiary dogs (River Oaks Plant House in Houston) greet you in the entry. Brooklyn-based wallpaper brand Trove created a forest of magnolias that evolve as one passes through the light at the edge of the forest arriving into a dense patch of green.

"In today's world, the beautiful outdoors is our safe haven. Bringing in the verdant hues and textures from Dallas's botanical gardens, my entry foyer will become a welcoming respite, cleansing and refreshing as a garden within the home," says Rottet.

Design Committee Co-Chair Jan Showers took on the home's inviting study.  The dining room was designed by Cathy Kincaid, and the kitchen was brought to life by Design Committee Vice chair Chad Dorsey.

The central back stairs and hall are designed by Melissa Morgan of M Interiors.  Named "The Emerald Garden" honoring Gracie Studios' exquisite custom wallcovering, the space features an area for seating and relaxation along with a place for writing. Melissa's aim was to make the room a destination rather than a pass-through area.

Masks are required, and attendance is limited. Reserve your tickets today. Virtual tours are also available.
