The morning begins with a fashion show and raffle followed by a luncheon. Stunning mother and children fashions will be modeled by members of the DSO Family.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Dallas Symphony Association's Education and Outreach programs, including Young Strings and Young Musicians, which provide free instruments and free music lessons to children in the Dallas community.

This year’s Fashion Notes Designer Award Recipient is Mackenzie Brittingham. 

Fashion Notes Design Award Recipient: Mackenzie Brittingham

A true Dallasite, born and raised in Highland Park, Mackenzie Brittingham has held a lifelong passion for the arts and fashion. She established her brand in the spring of 2016, bringing couture bridal fashion to future brides with a refined and highly personalized approach.

After more than a decade at Stanley Korshak Bridal, Mackenzie expanded into her own private atelier — an evolution of her brand that allows for a more intimate, design-driven experience. While growing her independent space, she continues to work closely with custom clients at Stanley Korshak, maintaining the longstanding relationships and elevated level of service that have defined her career.

Mackenzie specializes in luxury evening wear, designing custom gowns for mothers of the bride and groom, debutantes, and distinguished socialites. In 2018, she launched her Fur Collection. Her latest endeavor is her collection of exotic handbags. Designed with the same couture mindset, each handbag is meticulously crafted with exceptional materials and attention to detail.

Meet the 2025 Junior Symphony Ball Co-Chairs

Mark your calendars for a night of music and dancing on Saturday, February 1, 2025, as the Junior Symphony Ball takes over the iconic Gilley's Dallas for an evening of fun and entertainment.

Steering Committee tickets are on sale now and available online at www.dallassymphonyleague.com.

Two price levels will be available:

Steering Committee 1 – $395.00 - One Steering Committee Membership with required parent/guardian DSOL 6/1/23-5/31/24 membership (includes 1 JSB ticket)

Steering Committee 1 & VIP – $495.00 - One VIP ticket & Steering Committee Ticket (dedicated entrance at JSB for VIP ticket holders)

General admission tickets are available for $175.

The JSB is the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League's longest running fundraiser now in its 67th year. It is a student-led event that unites high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors for a night filled with live music, dance, gaming tables, exciting raffle prizes, and refreshments. Funds raised benefit education and community engagement programs of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

DSOL Debutantes Participate in Divot Stomp at Annual Honor Guard Polo Cup

 The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Debutantes and Honor Guard proudly partnered with the Prestonwood Polo Club for an evening of polo matches, dinner and drinks and halftime activities. 

Prestonwood Polo Honor Guard Cup

The annual Honor Guard Polo Cup was held at the Prestonwood Polo Club in Oak Point on June 24. The Debutantes, Honor Guard, and their families viewed the polo games from the pavilion, with many wearing their best derby hats.

The Debutantes participated in the traditional divot stomp. Divot stomping is a long-standing tradition where spectators converge on the field to stomp down the turf that has been torn up by the ponies' hooves. Attendees gathered on the field for a glass of Champagne, photo opportunities with players and horses, and meet club owner, Vaughn Miller.

Miller is the son of Tincy Miller who founded the Presentation Ball in 1987. He was among the first group of Honor Guards in the inaugural year. His family continues the tradition of support for the Presentation Ball. Daughter Gigi made her debut this year and sons Vance Miller, III and Vaughn Miller, Jr. served as Honor Guards. The Presentation Ball is the largest fundraiser for the DSOL and over $15 million has been raised for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra through the annual event.

“We are so grateful to Dena and Vaughn Miller, Vaughn Miller, Jr., Vance and Gigi for their incredible Prestonwood Polo Club venue,“ said Presentation Ball chair Kristin Cordiak. “The Honor Guard Polo Cup evening was exciting with the horses, players, champagne divot stomp - all fabulous fun!!”

The evening was one of the season events for the debutantes which culminate with the 38th Presentation Ball, to be held on February 10, 2024.

“This Presentation Season is filled with fun events like The Polo Cup, and we have the added focus of bringing music education to our community through the DSO Education and Outreach Programs,” said DSOL President Nancy Labadie. “Keep watching for what is up next for this amazing group of young women.

Founded in 1946, the DSOL's mission is to support the Dallas Symphony Orchestra through service, education and fundraising activities. Since 1998 the League has contributed over $22 million in support of the Dallas Symphony Association’s Community Outreach and Education programs, which help bring the wonder of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to thousands of youths and adults in the Dallas Metroplex.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Deck The Halls - A Family Holiday Concert

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League presents Deck the Halls, a family Holiday concert at the Meyerson on Saturday December 3, 2022. 

Families are encouraged to bring children and grandchildren to one of the League's most beloved events. The morning begins at 10:00 a.m. with cookie decorating and family activities prior to the 1-hour long family concert. The ticket includes a VIP Symphony experience with muffins, mimosas and crafts for the kids.

DSO and The Concert Truck Schedule

From mid-November through mid-December, the DSO and The Concert Truck will present collaborative community concerts across the city, featuring musicians of the DSO and other arts organizations. Concerts will be held outdoors with audiences and performers able to maintain a safe distance while enjoying live performances.

The Concert Truck, founded in 2016 by concert pianists Susan Zhang and Nick Luby, is a mobile concert stage that brings classical chamber music directly to communities. The Concert Truck travels all over the United States performing alone and with other musicians to a variety of venues and audiences. While in Dallas, Susan and Nick will perform repertoire of their own and will collaborate with DSO Musicians. For more information, visit mydso.com.

Artists for Animals Concert - February 13th

DSO's First-Ever Live Concert Simulcast at Klyde Warren Park

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will host a free live concert simulcast on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Klyde Warren Park. The concert will feature Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducting the Dallas Symphony in performance with acclaimed violinist Itzhak Perlman as soloist. The concert, simulcast live from the 2014 Dallas Symphony Orchestra AT&T Gala at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, will feature Daphnis and Chloe Suite No. 2 by Ravel, Capriccio italien by Tchaikovsky, and Perlman joining the Dallas Symphony in the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Bruch.

 

“It is such a thrill to be able to share the musical excellence and excitement of the Dallas Symphony’s 2014 AT&T Gala with everyone in Dallas,” said Jan Miller, who with her husband Jeffrey Rich, is chairing the 2014 Dallas Symphony Orchestra AT&T Gala. “Itzhak Perlman is an icon. Jaap van Zweden is a superstar. Together with our Dallas Symphony they will present a memorable evening of beautiful music, and this simulcast will share that experience with music-lovers beyond the Meyerson.”

 

The concert simulcast will be the first in the history of the Dallas Symphony. Patrons may enjoy of the amenities and activities at Klyde Warren Park before the Gala Concert begins at 8:45pm. Following the performance, downtown Dallas visitors will be treated to a fireworks display in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Meyerson Symphony Center.
