Mark your calendars for a night of music and dancing on Saturday, January 30, 2027, as the Junior Symphony Ball takes over the iconic Gilley's Dallas for an evening of fun and entertainment.

The JSB is the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League's longest running fundraiser and is now in its 69th year. It is a student-led event that unites high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors for a night filled with live music, dance, gaming tables, exciting raffle prizes, and refreshments. Funds raised benefit education and community engagement programs of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

The lineup of the 2027 Co-Chairs represents schools across Dallas: Olivia Shapiro (Parish Episcopal School), Juliet Allen (The Hockaday School), Lyla Durrett (Ursuline Academy), Natalie Anne Brewer (Highland Park High School), Madi Mayes (Bishop Lynch High School), Hudson Krug (Jesuit College Preparatory of Dallas), Miles McLeod (Jesuit College Preparatory of Dallas), Brooks Main (St. Mark’s School of Texas), John Edge Sowa (Episcopal School of Dallas), and Levi Shore (Highland Park High School).

Their supportive and proud moms are: Holly Krug, Amie Mayes, Jamie Sowa, Nicole Brewer Cahoon, Destin Shore, Annie McLeod, Lindsey Durrett, Jori Shapiro, Mandy Main, and Bonner Mead Allen.

Steering Committee tickets with two price levels will go on sale starting Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 10am and will be available online at www.dallassymphonyleague.com. General admission tickets will go on sale in early January, 2027.

The morning begins with a fashion show and raffle followed by a luncheon. Stunning mother and children fashions will be modeled by members of the DSO Family.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Dallas Symphony Association's Education and Outreach programs, including Young Strings and Young Musicians, which provide free instruments and free music lessons to children in the Dallas community.

This year’s Fashion Notes Designer Award Recipient is Mackenzie Brittingham.

A true Dallasite, born and raised in Highland Park, Mackenzie Brittingham has held a lifelong passion for the arts and fashion. She established her brand in the spring of 2016, bringing couture bridal fashion to future brides with a refined and highly personalized approach.

After more than a decade at Stanley Korshak Bridal, Mackenzie expanded into her own private atelier — an evolution of her brand that allows for a more intimate, design-driven experience. While growing her independent space, she continues to work closely with custom clients at Stanley Korshak, maintaining the longstanding relationships and elevated level of service that have defined her career.

Mackenzie specializes in luxury evening wear, designing custom gowns for mothers of the bride and groom, debutantes, and distinguished socialites. In 2018, she launched her Fur Collection. Her latest endeavor is her collection of exotic handbags. Designed with the same couture mindset, each handbag is meticulously crafted with exceptional materials and attention to detail.

Mark your calendars for a night of music and dancing on Saturday, February 1, 2025, as the Junior Symphony Ball takes over the iconic Gilley's Dallas for an evening of fun and entertainment.

Steering Committee tickets are on sale now and available online at www.dallassymphonyleague.com.

Two price levels will be available:

Steering Committee 1 – $395.00 - One Steering Committee Membership with required parent/guardian DSOL 6/1/23-5/31/24 membership (includes 1 JSB ticket)

Steering Committee 1 & VIP – $495.00 - One VIP ticket & Steering Committee Ticket (dedicated entrance at JSB for VIP ticket holders)

General admission tickets are available for $175.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Deck The Halls - A Family Holiday Concert

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League presents Deck the Halls, a family Holiday concert at the Meyerson on Saturday December 3, 2022. 

Families are encouraged to bring children and grandchildren to one of the League's most beloved events. The morning begins at 10:00 a.m. with cookie decorating and family activities prior to the 1-hour long family concert. The ticket includes a VIP Symphony experience with muffins, mimosas and crafts for the kids. 

Claire Catrino is the event chair. Cynthia Beaird is the DSOL President.

The Elan Circle Cordially Invites You To Savor the Education

This sounds like an event you do not want to miss out on, a prelude to the always fun Savor the Symphony. The Elan Circle of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League (DSOL) invites you to Savor the Education . This event will be a celebration of all the enriching education programs through the DSOL.

There will be live music by Pat Peterson and much more fun and excitement all leading up to the big finale of the year for The Elan Circle, Savor the Symphony, so make sure to save the date for that as well on April 16th, 2011.

The Limelight: Elan Circle

Elan Circle, an auxiliary organization of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, promotes the interests of the Dallas Symphony Association through education, fundraising activities and service.

By definition, "Elan": (1. Enthusiastic vigor and liveliness 2. Distinctive style or flair), which meaning can be seen through all of their endeavors. The members of Elan Circle provide service to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) with a variety of social and educational programs, community service, as well as direct contributions of their time with the DSO Season Ticket Renewal Campaign, Symphony YES, Youth Concerts and so much more.

The Elan Circle provides an enjoyable, stylish, social environment that allows members opportunities for musical enrichment, meeting new friends, connecting with old friends, and participating in a variety of engaging activities.

Their annual Savor the Symphony fundraiser is an event not to be missed. Founded in 2000, Savor the Symphony is a black tie event that brings together business and community leaders with the goal of raising money for the educational and outreach programs of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Over the past decade, Savor the Symphony has raised more than $950,000. Without support, many children in our community would never be able to experience the joy of symphonic music. The cornerstone of the event is an exceptional five-course, wine-paired dinner, followed by raffle, cork pull, luxury live and silent auctions as well as fabulous entertainment. Definitely a must on your social calendar!

The Elan Circle also hosts Fireside Chats which introduce guest artists and conductors of the DSO. Hosted at some of the most gorgeous homes in Dallas, Fireside Chats make for a fun evening among friends, along with the chance to listen and meet prominent individuals of the DSO.
