ReuNight for The Family Place - An Evening in Provence

 

Co-Chairs Marisa Howard, Roni Proter Kelly, and Max Trowbridge invite you to ReuNight for The Family Place on Thursday, May 12. Returning to The Nasher Sculpture Garden, this year’s event will be An Evening in Provence with a French-inspired four-course elevated dinner by Wolfgang Puck Catering. Patrons will dine al fresco, enjoying the lovely spring evening under twinkling lights amidst exquisite modern art. Bryan Long with Grey Gardens Florist will again set the tone for the evening with modern, architectural flowers and fabulous design. A small, curated luxury live auction will end the evening’s festivities.

The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, together with The Goss-Michael Foundation and Dallas Contemporary, present the fourth annual RE:DEFINE, a world-premiere art exhibition, auction, and gala featuring world-renowned contemporary artists. The evening, co-chaired by sisters Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, Kari Schlegel-Kloewer, and Krystal Schlegel, hosted by Joyce Goss and Kenny Goss and honoring Michael Craig Martin will feature a live auction led by auctioneer Alexander Gilkes of Paddle8. All proceeds will benefit Dallas Contemporary and The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, an international organization dedicated to stopping the spread of HIV among young people.

4th Annual ARTsPARK

Have you ever thought about becoming a songwriter, novelist or sculptor? Would you like to volunteer at the opera or be an usher at the symphony? Learn how the arts can enrich YOUR life at the 4th Annual ARTsPARK - a free event this Saturday at NorthPark Center.

ARTsPARK is the perfect way to connect to the arts in North Texas. Experience 50 local arts organizations bringing you volunteer opportunities, membership information and inspiring performances throughout the day. WRR Classical 101.1 FM will broadcast live from 10am to 4pm with ongoing ticket giveaways to the Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas Museum of Art, Plano Children's Theatre and dozens of other North Texas cultural organizations.

Destination Dallas: Summer Architecture Workshop


Join architect and educator Peter Goldstein, AIA, for a week-long workshop exploring some of the most talked-about and innovative structures in Dallas. Participants will visit buildings designed by a host of the world’s leading architects including Pritzker Prize Laureates Renzo Piano, Richard Meier, Norman Foster, Thom Mayne and I.M.Pei.

Open to students entering grades 9 – 12. Space is limited to 20 students.

Breakfast with a Ballerina

The Nasher Sculpture Center presents the beloved holiday tradition, Breakfast with a Ballerina, on Monday, December 13 from 9-11 a.m.

The price is $60 ($50 for Members) and includes a 20% discount to a Texas Ballet Theater's The Nutcracker performance. Tickets to the breakfast are available by calling 214.242.5144. Space is limited.

Enjoy a holiday kid-friendly brunch buffet by Wolfgang Puck Catering, featuring Chocolate-Chip Pancakes, Almond French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, Mini Muffins, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Sausage, Hash Browns, Fresh Fruit, and Hot Chocolate with Mini Marshmallows. The little ballerinas will love a horse-drawn carriage ride through the beautiful Dallas Arts District. Characters from The Nutcracker will lead a special craft in the Nasher classroom. Children will have the opportunity to take portraits with the ballerinas for an additional $15.00. Gather at 10:30am for a reading of the holiday favorite, The Nutcracker, presented by one of the characters.

Holiday in the Dallas Arts District



Let the festivities begin. Come join in all the fun with Holiday in the Dallas Arts District!
There will be many activities for everyone: cookie decorating, carriage rides, a tree lighting ceremony and the Lexus Broadway Series opening of Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas at the Winspear Opera House, part of the amazing AT&T Performing Arts Center. Stroll through the museums and take in the culture -- make sure to stop by the museum gift shops at the Dallas Museum of Art, Crow Collection of Asian Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center for 10% off your purchase. What a great way to get ahead on buying all of those holiday gifts!
There will be singing, quartets playing, people strolling and shopping and so much more. All the while, taking it all in as the excitement and fun the holiday season brings, begins. The Grinch won't be able to steal Christmas from all of the festive on goers who attend this wonderful event!

Nasher Sculpture Center - Target First Saturdays

What a way to fill your day! Fun for your family throughout the year with Target First Saturdays at the Nasher Sculpture Center.

The First Saturdays are a huge hit and the people involved have thought of it all. Each month families have the opportunity to focus on the "Big Idea," through hands-on crafts, take home activities and a scavenger hunt. FUN!!

Art activities, sculpture demonstrations, live performances for young children and families, yoga in the garden, followed by a kid-friendly meal at the Nasher Cafe sounds like an outing no one would want to miss.

WISH GALA - Nasher Sculpture Center

The luxury collection at NorthPark Center cordially invites you to the inaugural WISH GALA, benefiting the Nasher Sculpture Center and celebrating A Season of Wishes with an evening of art and fashion. The evening event will feature a runway presentation including collections from Barneys New York, Oscar de la Renta, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, and Versace, as well as cocktails and a seated dinner presented by Kent Rathburn Catering.

All proceeds will go directly to grant one wish for the Nasher Sculpture Center as voted upon by guests during the event. The three wishes that may be granted fall in the realm of: the Contemporary Projects Series, a Jaume Plensa: Genus and Species-Catalogue for the upcoming exhibit, or to benefit the Contemporary Artist Lecture Series.
