The Junior League of Collin County’s traditional ‘Neath the Wreath Holiday Gift Market welcomes more than 13,000 shoppers and over 125 merchants for a festive, unique shopping experience each year.

After careful consideration regarding the health and safety of merchants, shoppers, and volunteers, the Junior League of Collin County has made the difficult decision to not host the in-person ‘Neath the Wreath Holiday Gift Market, scheduled for November 12-15, 2020 at Plano Event Center.

The ‘Neath the Wreath Committee is working hard to redesign the event this year for an online experience.

Junior League of Collin County Seeks Community Projects - Apply Here

In recognition of the Junior League of Collin County’s 40th anniversary, they have selected March 25, 2017, as a day of celebration. The League will select 40 service projects in Collin County to receive hands-on volunteers and/or in-kind support. Some of the examples of projects that League members and their families can assist with include: restocking food pantries, minor landscaping, minor repair and painting, cleaning out closets or restocking clothing, providing support items for hospital patients, and/or assisting in general with organizational or cleanup projects.

Originally founded by 13 visionary women in 1976 as the Plano Service League, the organization became the Junior League of Plano when it was accepted into the Association of Junior Leagues International in 1984. In 2011, the Junior League of Plano adopted a new name, the Junior League of Collin County, to more accurately reflect the growing countywide membership and expanding community impact. The League has a deep history in the Collin County community, and through the decades, members have remained committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community. Evidence of this impactful work can be seen across our community, as members have engaged in community building since the earliest days of the League. JLCC members engage and commit to making positive change and serving as leaders across the community.

We are encouraging all agencies to apply using the online 40 Celebrating 40 form below. Deadline for applications is January 31, 2017.
