Children's Cancer Fund Hosts 26th Annual Luncheon

Children’s Cancer Fund (CCF) will host its 26^thAnnual Luncheon on Friday, April 4, 2014, in the Chantilly Ballroom of the Hilton Anatole. Auction and champagne reception begin at 10:00 AM.  Luncheon and fashion show presentation start promptly at 11:30 AM.

 

Longtime Honorary Co-Chairs Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach will join Luncheon Co-Chairs Tyler Kuelbs and Stacie Wells, along with an outstanding lineup of celebrities and local media, to take the runway with 21 young Children's Medical Center cancer patients and numerous pediatric cancer survivors in a special runway fashion show, sponsored by Dillard’s and produced by RSC Show Productions. KDFW FOX 4 News Anchors and supporters Steve Eagar and Clarice Tinsley will serve as Master and Mistress of Ceremonies at the event. The luncheon is slated to raise over $250,000 for pediatric cancer research. 

 

The luncheon and fashion show raise awareness and funds for children’s cancer research at Children’s Medical Center while serving as a positive social-psychological experience for children undergoing cancer treatment. Current escorts include Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach, Rudy Gatlin, current Dallas Cowboys players, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and more!

 

“With over $7 million in funds raised, since 1982, for pediatric cancer research, Children’s Cancer Fund continues to fund critical research while improving treatments for hundreds of children throughout the greater North Texas community,” said Luncheon Co-Chair Tyler Kuelbs.

“The enthusiasm, support, and love in the ballroom the day of the fashion show is nothing short of inspiring,” said Luncheon Co-Chair Stacie Wells. “It’s beautiful to see everyone come together with their time, treasures, and talents for the children.” 

 

Tickets for the 26^th Annual Luncheon are $150 each or $1,250 per table of 10. The finale of the show each year is a special time for all the children, both those currently battling cancer and the survivors, to join together on stage. This year, the finale song will be performed by Amber Carrington, North Texas native and semi-finalist on Season 4 of NBC’s top rated show “The Voice.” Amber was born in Fort Worth and grew up in Rockwall. A few months after Amber graduated from high school, she lost her mother to breast cancer. Since then, she has been honoring her mother’s life by singing.
