Young Friends of RMHD recreated Studio 54 theme

The Young Friends of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas recreated a disco chic theme of Studio 54 at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas for their ninth annual fundraiser benefitting the organization on March 30. More than 750 twenty- and thirty-somethings bid on many silent auction items, noshed on hos d’oeuvres, and danced to DJ Lucy Wrubel’s rocking tunes.

Dressed in matching gold lame outfits designed by Mari Hidalgo and baubles from Eiseman Jewels, Event Co-Chairs Amy McEvoy and Bianca Colgin were thrilled to see so many dressed in their best disco luxe, with sparkly over-the-top dresses, jumpsuits and creative twists on Studio 54 attire.

Some of the notable auction items of the evening were:  Dirk Nowitski’s shoes and Mavs Locker Room Tour with Donnie Nelson, one week stay at a condo in Aspen with a weeklong membership to the renowned private Caribou Club, flying trapeze lesson at Trapeze Austin, one hour ride on a vintage Delfin MiG Fighter Jet, “An Evening Behind the Scenes” in the kitchen with the Abacus Chefs, 1st Base Commissioner’s Box Package for the Texas Rangers Game, trophy bass fishing trip to Woodvale Fishing Club, and "By Invitation Only” Wine Tasting Experience for 6 at Darioush Winery in Napa. The highest two bids were the MiG Fighter Jet and trip to Aspen.
