2019 Design & Dine - Ambassador of Hope Awards

Design & Dine combines art, design, food, music and fun into one incredible evening benefiting Vogel Alcove. The event begins with a VIP reception and Ambassadors of Hope Awards Ceremony and continues with delicious food, drinks, live artist performances, virtual sports gaming, photo booth, and entertainment by the World Piano Man, Martyn Lucas. There will also be a raffle, silent auction with unique prizes and a wine pull station.

The Ambassadors of Hope Awards were created to honor individuals and organizations that support Vogel Alcove’s mission to help children recover from the traumatic effects of homelessness. This year’s honorees are:

Willie Baronet of WeAreAllHomeless.org is the Doris Budner Honoree for leadership in advancing the Vogel Alcove mission

Oliver Wyman, the Thelma Vogel Honoree for vision and collaborative efforts in advancing services to homeless children and families

Houlihan Lokey, the Corporate Champion Honoree

Fox 4 – KDFW, the Media Partner Honoree

Joyce Morrison, the Volunteer Award Honoree

This new event combines two of Vogel Alcove’s favorite celebrations – Ambassadors of Hope Awards and the Furniture 4 Kids Design Competition for a night of great food and drink, innovative design and special recognition. Purchase tickets or sponsorships online now.

Furniture 4 Kids

For more than a decade, the Furniture 4 Kids Design Contest has brought out the competitive and creative spirits of architecture and design professionals throughout Dallas. Teams of designers are challenged to transform identical children’s tables and chairs into themed and functional furniture pieces. This year’s theme is “Farm to Table.” A panel of judges will choose the winning pieces, and the entries will be available for bid through an online raffle supporting Vogel Alcove.

Ambassadors of Hope

The Ambassadors of Hope Awards were created to honor the individuals and organizations that support Vogel Alcove’s mission to help children recover from the trauma of homelessness. They include awards named for our founders – Doris Budner and Thelma Vogel.

A night of sampling DFW's best restaurants, designers, local celebrities and more!

 

Design & Dine is an evening tailored to your tastes and styles. Experience a night of food, fashion and fun, as some of DFW’s top restaurants, designers and celebrities gather together at Classic BMW in Plano for one magical evening. Additionally, a portion of the night’s event proceeds will benefit Junior League of Collin County.

 

Design & Dine will showcase five curated designers hand selected by Amber LaFrance of Culture Hype to go along-side the restaurant, spirit and wine samplings that will be featured. All this excitement will be led by Steve Kemble, America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru, and of KVIL FM.
