Faye Briggs, a dedicated member of the Nexus Women's Auxiliary, recently hosted the Westapher Auction party at her stunning Preston Hollow home on Sunday October 6th. Guests toured her lovely estate, mingled with Dallas notables and bid on coveted auction items. The occasion preceded the Westapher Golf Tournament on Monday October 14th at Stevens Park Golf Course. An awards and cocktail party, emceed by the esteemed Scott Murray, commenced at the tournaments end.

Event Co-Chair Laurie Sutherlin shares "I am involved with Nexus Recovery Center because it gives women, children and families, with no income or low income, a chance to recover from a hopeless state of mind and body. The American Medical Association recognizes alcoholism and drug addiction as a disease. Everyone deserves a chance for a new life, free from the chains of addiction!"

Nexus Recovery Center has been the beneficiary of the Westapher Auction and Golf Tournament since 2005 yet Nexus has been turning lives around for women and their children for more than 40 years. The center which sits on a 12 acre campus in East Dallas, offers a full range of recovery services from detoxification through residential and outpatient treatment –even aftercare and housing services.
