Despite the global shutdown, Circle of Friends (COF) experienced its highest membership ever and launched a brand-new signature event! We invite you to keep this incredible momentum going by joining or renewing your membership for the 2021-2022 year. By taking a #StandforHer, you’re helping women and teen girls leave or avoid the sex industry and create the new life they each deserve.

By joining Circle of Friends, you are joining a movement to help women and teens leave the sex industry and develop the building blocks for a better future. The purpose of the Circle of Friends group is to support the mission of New Friends New Life through volunteerism, community awareness, and fundraising. As a Circle of Friends partner, you will have the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of ways within the organization.

New Friends New Life restores and empowers formerly trafficked girls and sexually exploited women and their children.

 

By providing access to education, job training, interim financial assistance, mental health, and spiritual support, New Friends New Life helps women and their children overcome backgrounds of abuse, addiction, poverty, and limited opportunities.

UNICEFF Makes a Difference with Not My Life

It is simple to pay close attention to an issue when it is sitting in front of us, but what happens when we are not constantly reminded of these less than rosey realities? They are forgotten.

UNICEFF is giving us a chance to take part in an event that will further educate us on modern day slavery and human trafficking. Human trafficking is a horrifying issue that is practiced globally and hidden carefully. Yes, the topic is mentioned in novels, films, and news stories, but it will take more than a mention for the public to take proper action against the growing reality. Susan Bissell, Chief of Child Protection, will be the first speaker in a series of luncheons in the Dallas- Fort Worth area, and she will speak about the documentary, Not My Life. Not My Life is a feature- length documentary that will inform audiences about the children, women, and men who endure physical and emotional abuse that we can only imagine, and we have only heard about. If you would like to be a part of this important and necessary movement, get informed and end your indifference on this horrifying topic. Please join UNICEFF and Susan Bissell
