There is not a single person who has not been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The clients served by Helping Restore Ability are in the highest at-risk population due to age, compromised immune systems, or frequent surgical procedures. The attendant care that they receive from Helping Restore Ability ensures that they are able to stay safely at home, reducing risk of exposure to COVID-19.

The funds raised during HuRrAh! 2021 will go directly to providing clients and their attendants with critical supplies like gloves, masks, and other personal protective equipment. It will also support additional attendant recruitment efforts to ensure enough trained and qualified care providers are available. Finally, the funds will support enrollment of additional clients that may need supportive services throughout Texas.

HuRrAh! 2019 will be held on Friday, April 26 and is a family-friendly night with a gourmet dinner, unique runway experience, and a few furry special guests supporting the mission of Helping Restore Ability. This event benefits the programs and services offered through Helping Restore Ability with a focus on in-home attendant care services.

All of the proceeds from HuRrAh! go to benefit Helping Restore Ability (HRA). HRA is the largest non-profit in Texas providing in-home attendant care services to low-income Texans with disabilities. The mission of HRA is that no Texan with a disability lack the resources that he or she needs to live a full and independent life. With the help of HRA and generous supporters, like you, over 1,000 individuals receive the help they need, daily, to remain in their own homes rather than an institutional care facility.
