Dallas Stars Hall of Fame Induction Gala

 

North Texas native Casey Donahew will headline the Dallas Stars Hall of Fame Induction Gala presented by Truist on Sunday, Oct. 22. Hosted by the Dallas Stars Foundation, the event will take place at Gilley’s South Side Ballroom in Dallas at 6 p.m. The concert celebration, presented by Grey Goose, will begin at 8:30 PM.

"Casey has been a mainstay in the Texas music scene for years and is known for the energy he brings every time he steps onto the stage," said Marty Turco, President of the Dallas Stars Foundation. "He is a passionate Stars fan and thus the perfect artist to help celebrate the inductions of Ken Hitchcock and Ed Belfour into the Dallas Stars Hall of Fame."

The event will honor the second class of the Dallas Stars Hall of Fame, while benefiting the Dallas Stars Foundation Legacy Project, St. Philip’s School and Community Center.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the Volkswagen Walk of Fame, which will feature current Stars Hall of Fame members and this year's inductees Hitchcock and Belfour. The Volkswagen Walk of Fame will begin at 5:00 PM.

The induction gala and ceremony will take place prior to the concert and general admission guests will be able to see the ceremony live in the South Side Ballroom. Following the ceremony, Casey Donahew will take the main stage for the public concert.

TeamConnor Night at Dallas Stars game

The Dallas Stars hockey team and TeamConnor Cancer Foundation have teamed up to fight childhood cancers.

Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual TeamConnor Night at the Dallas Stars game on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. This is sure to be an exciting game as the Stars take on the Anaheim Ducks! Fans and supporters of TeamConnor can purchase tickets through a special link and a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to TeamConnor to help find a cure for pediatric cancer.

"Cancer kills more children every year than cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, asthma and AIDS combined," said Jennifer Bolton, TeamConnor Executive Director. "Yet, the National Cancer Institute allocates only three-percent of its funds to pediatric cancer. Everyone knows someone's child, grandchild, niece, cousin, classmate or friend that has been affected. We've got to fight back."

Reach for the Stars… the Dallas Stars, that is! YOU and a guest could win the opportunity to volunteer with Brenden Morrow and a few other current Dallas Stars hockey players as they fill backpacks with nutritious food items for the Food 4 Kids program at the North Texas Food Bank on the evening of Wednesday, September 8th!

Here’s how it works:
With a minimum donation of $25 to benefit the North Texas Food Bank’s child programs, your name will be entered into a raffle to win a chance for you and a guest to volunteer with the participating Dallas Stars players. The opportunity also includes a 15-minute private reception with the players following the volunteer session. For every additional $25 donated, your name will be added into the raffle. The more $25 donations you make, the more chances you have to win! For every $500 donation, you will automatically reserve your spot for you and a guest to participate in the volunteer opportunity and private reception. In addition, you will receive a hockey stick signed by the participating Dallas Stars players.

*Participating Dallas Stars players will be announced by September.
*Up to 50 donors (plus 1 guest each) are eligible to win this opportunity.
