The
Nexus team, headed by Operating Board President, Nicole Blythe and Women’s
Auxiliary President Lauren Gilette, are engaging women directly about this
disease.
Nexus ED Rebecca Crowell
shares, “It’s an epidemic that has been swept under the rug for too long. The
stigma attached to the disease of addiction has to change. Just like AIDS or
breast cancer was not spoken of in the 1980’s, and finally found a voice in the
community, we must find philanthropists, leaders and supporters who are willing
to speak out about the rise of addiction to help our community at large, and
offer hope to those who need it most.”
