19th Annual La Vie en Roses Champagne Gala

On Friday, May 2, 2014, the French-American Chamber of Commerce of Dallas/Fort Worth (FACC) will transport guests to la Rive Gauche of the Seine in Saint-Germain-des-Prés for “Une Nuit à Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The 19th Annual “La Vie en Roses” Champagne Gala will take place at 7:00 pm at the Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas.

The gala will include a champagne reception, a French gourmet dinner and wine pairing, dancing, live entertainment and a silent auction to benefit the FACC. Despite its local setting, guests will delight in surroundings that reflect timeless French landmarks such as the historic Seine River, the charming Le Café de Flore and the enchanting Garden of Luxembourg.

More than 200 business and government leaders are expected to attend, including:
-The Honorable Sujiro Seam, Consul General of France
-Keith Graf with the Office of the Governor
-Master of Ceremonies Jim White of Jim White Media and founder of Savor Dallas
-Gala Honorary Chair Patrick Esquerré, founder of the la Madeleine Country French Café
-2014 Gala Chair Richard Hunt, shareholder of Hunt | Huey PLLC

The FACC is recognizing the success of Mr. Esquerré’s la Madeleine Country French Café. Esquerré founded la Madeleine in 1983, creating the gourmet fast casual restaurant and eventually expanding to 67 units in the Southwest, Phoenix and Washington DC area. Esquerré is also a co-founder of the Essilor Vision Foundation and Kids Vision for Life program promoting “Better life through better sight.” Essilor Vision Foundation was founded in Dallas in 2007 to provide vision correction to underserved children and to eliminate poor vision and its lifelong consequences across the United States. In 2014, Essilor Vision Foundation and Kids Vision for Life will deliver 40,000 pairs of glasses at no cost to families in the major cities of Texas and Southern California and in 11 other cities in the U.S. It is also expanding to other countries.

“We’re honored to present the 2014 Alain Bellet Award to Patrick Esquerré in recognition of his entrepreneurial mindset, outstanding accomplishments and ongoing support for the French-American business community,” said new FACC President Patricia Zilliox.

Gala Chairman Richard Hunt said the event plays a pivotal role in strengthening the presence of the French community in Dallas. “The gala is a wonderful opportunity for local French and American businesses to support the work of the Chamber,” Hunt said. “Even more important, it is a chance for all North Texans to celebrate the deep historical ties and important cultural and economic contributions of the French community in North Texas."
