DFW Restaurant Week - List and Menus Unveiled

It’s time for diners to prepare their palates for North Texas’ hottest summer food and wine event, the 16th annual DFW Restaurant Week presented by Central Market. Back with a new name and pricing options to spotlight the stellar lineup of participating restaurants throughout the Metroplex, DFW Restaurant Week will once again be supporting the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope Home. The culinary festivities kick off today with Reservation Day. The much-anticipated list of this year’s participating restaurants and menus has been unveiled at DFWRestaurantWeek.com, and diners can begin making reservations for the main week of August 12-18, 2013. http://dfw.cbslocal.com/dfw-restaurant-week-2013-list/

Diners can enjoy a different scene and cuisine every day as they select from more than 125 top restaurants offering delicious three-course prix fixe dinners for either $35 or $45 (new this year for select restaurants), or the Cadillac Lunch Experience brought to you by Oak Farms Dairy, featuring three-course lunches for just $25 at many locations. Twenty percent from each meal purchased will be donated to charity partners, the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas or the Lena Pope Home in Fort Worth.

Dedicated to offering a variety of fine dining experiences at the hottest restaurants for a great value, DFW Restaurant Week organizers say that the new $45 dinner option provides a way for chefs to feature specially priced menus that are representative of their restaurants’ established high-end cuisine, at a time when the food costs are at a premium. Restaurants will choose to offer either $35 or $45 dinner menus and will be categorized on the DFW Restaurant Week website by pricing, for simple selection by diners.

A major charity fundraiser supporting the regional community, DFW Restaurant Week (formerly KRLD Restaurant Week) raised a record $760,000+ for the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and Lena Pope Home last year alone – representing a 9 percent increase in funds raised compared to the previous year.
