We wanted to thank Stanley Korshak for their efforts in raising $4,66o for The Food 4 Kids program for the North Texas Food Bank. Crawford Brock will be personally presenting the check to the Food Bank. "One in four Texas children lives in a food insecure household." The Food 4 Kids program delivers backpacks filled with kid-friendly meals to the chronically hungry children on Friday afternoons in order to last them through the weekends. The program works with over 325 schools in 32 school districts across Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Hunt, Rockwall, and Kaufman counties. Over 8,000 children currently receive a backpack each week and the North Texas Food Bank hopes to expand to 11,000 students a week by 2011.
