Holiday at the Arboretum

The magic of the holiday season returns to the Dallas Arboretum when Holiday at the Arboretum, sponsored by Brandt Engineering, opens November 26 to January 2, 2011.

This year's festival display, 'The Magic of Santa', showcases hundreds of unique and extraordinary interpretations of the Santa Claus image from several private collections. The holiday decor is coordinated by renowned decorator, Michael Hamilton, of the new Plano store, La Foofaraw. The gardens are adorned with beautiful winter colors and late fall foliage, including Pyracantha and Holly berries, Pansies, Camellias, Evergreen Leaves and ornamental grasses. Live reindeer - Sat & Sun 1-4pm
Frosty and Rudolph Costumed Characters - Sat & Sun 11am-3pm
Photos with Santa by Holt Haynsworth - ($15) Sat & Sun 11am-3 pm

The Hoffman Family Gift Store is filled with unique and specialty items, including the Arboretum's Coffee Table Book and 2011 Garden calendar. The Gift Store will have holiday food samplings and beverages.
Holiday Tea returns by popular demand to the Dallas Arboretum's DeGolyer Garden Café and Tea Room from November 26 to December 31. Tea is offered to adults ages 13 and above for $39.95 per person, which includes gratuity, parking and admission. Teas are served 7 days a week at 11am and 2pm. Visit here for menu. Wednesdays are 'Buy One, Get One Free' to all guests, and Thursdays are Senior Day with $7.50 admission and a 20% discount in the Gift Store.
