Dian Malouf "Go Girl" Ring, Available at SWAG

When Dian Malouf began looking for a large sterling silver and gold ring, she never found one, so she designed one for herself.

She wore her first design effort to Europe and was asked in four languages, "Where on earth did you find that beautiful ring?" She came home, and with out any experience or business background, designed more rings. All were quickly sold. That was thousands of designs ago.Dian's recognizable designs immediately distinguish her in a market crowded with other established jewelry designers. Her bold creations dazzle the confident woman, many of whom are art ball chairs, CEOs, and on the "A List."
Dian's jewelry has sold to Oprah, Elton John, Randy Travis, and enough other stars to fill the night sky. But her "Go Girl" ring has been perhaps her most rewarding personal experience. This ring, along with along with a message from Dian, tells women to "hang in there" regardless of circumstances. The "Go Girl" (part of the proceeds of which go to breast cancer research) has become a comfort to many breast cancer survivors and others who have hit a bump or two in the road of life. Dian receives many letters from recipients of the ring... all uplifting and all with sincere inspirational thanks.

You can find Dian Malouf's jewelry at SWAG at NorthPark Center. SWAG will also have a booth at Race for the Cure on October 15, where they will promote Dian Malouf's Go Girl Ring and Survivor Ring. BonBon Designer Launches in Dallas

It is like a dream come true, a creative young woman decides to start designing jewelry for friends and herself, leading to a beautiful collection and jewelry business a few years later. That is the story of Micah Yancey Rust, the jewelry designer that began BonBon. Her line is coming to Dallas which will thrill jewelry enthusiasts. She came up with the name BonBon, which means 'candy' in French, because many of her stones are delicious enough to eat!

Micah has two dear friends who are breast cancer survivors, which has led her to have a personal connection with two wonderful organizations: The Breast Cancer Resource Center and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from BonBon trunk shows are always donated to one of these non-profits. Certainly sounds like a great reason to do a few things: attend one of her trunk shows, buy some pieces for yourself, and then with no effort, some of your final sum will go to a wonderful organization!

Paddle for the Cure

Come out to White Rock Lake on July 17th for Hoewa'a Outrigger Canoe Clubs first ever Paddle for the Cure from 10 am to 4 pm. Their goal is to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. All of the proceeds will go to a breast cancer research foundation.

The event welcomes all non-motorized water crafts (kayaks, canoes, etc). Two courses will be offered: a one-mile race and a 4.5 mile race. So get yourself ready for a fun-filled day at gorgeous White Rock Lake to paddle away for breast cancer.

There will be live perfomances throughout the day for those who are there to cheer on their friends. Bring blankets, picnics and have a great time!

$55 registration fee after June 1st, 2010.
