Hot Ticket: ACM Events - Dierks' Charity Motorcycle Ride & Darius' Celebrity Golf Classic

The excitement of the 50th Anniversary of ACM Awards weekend continues with these TWO star-studded charity events in town -- both on Saturday, April 18th.  With a charity motorcyle ride and a golf classic, there's something for everyone!

Dierks Bentley will host the ACM Charity Motorcycle Ride & Concert, Country Music’s Biggest Ride™, on Saturday, April 18 – the ride will begin at Strokers Dallas in and Longhorn Harley-Davidson in Grand Prairie and will conclude at Maverick Harley-Davidson in Carrollton with a post-ride concert. 

 

Concerts by Dierks Bentley, Clare Dunn, Will Hoge, Joey Hyde, James Otto, Dee Jay Silver, Montgomery Gentry, Thompson Squareand more to be announced.

Proceeds from the event to benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music, local child abuse advocacy groups and military philanthropies.

Today, ACM Lifting Lives® announced that chart-topping country music star Darius Rucker will return to host the ACM Lifting Lives Celebrity Golf Classic presented by G. Debbas Chocolatier and GoPicnic for the fourth consecutive year on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas. The ACM Lifting Lives Celebrity Golf Classic, the ninth held since 2004, brings together country music artists Kix Brooks, Charles Kelley, Chris Young, Branch & Dean, and more artists to be announced as well as other members of the music community in a scramble tournament to raise funds and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives’ Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund.

 

This fund enables ACM Lifting Lives to respond quickly to unforeseen, immediate financial needs ofmusic related organizations and individuals.Funds are disbursed at the discretion of a select committee made up of ACM Lifting Lives Board Members. The fund’s resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality.

Friends of the Katy Trail First Ever Annual Support Campaign

The Friends of the Katy Trail announce their first ever Annual Support Campaign to help provide extra stability to their annual operating budget to maintain the well-loved trail by so many in our community.

The Katy Trail relies on private donations for 90 percent of their maintenance cost. They need everyone who loves, supports and uses the trail to donate. Go ahead and exercise your support with a donation or by helping the campaign through volunteering.

An Evening in Paris: Treasure Street

This Thursday, October 22nd, the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children will host its 14th annual celebration of Treasure Street at Highland Park Village with "An Evening in Paris." The evening will transform the elegant shopping center into one of french fantasy.
Admire elegant couture, enjoy delicious cuisine, participate in live and silent auctions, and relax to music from a Dallas favorite band, "A Hard Days Night," all the while helping the hospital raise the money and awareness that allows it to work its own magic in the lives of children.
