The BOO Yard Sign Challenge

 


The BOO Yard Sign Challenge, sponsored by Advancial, takes simple neighborhood trickery to a community fundraiser. BOO your friends and neighbors by secretly leaving the sign in their yards and Halloween treats at their doorsteps without them seeing you.

For every sign purchased, proceeds benefit Children’s Health and a patient will receive a treat.

Signs are on sale online for $20 each and available for pickup starting on Sept. 7. Your signs can be picked up from neighborhood captains across Dallas and Plano. Find your closest location during checkout by searching the zip code of your home, work or school address, then select a pickup date and time.

Plano Fun Ride


The 2nd annual Plano Fun Ride is both a ride for serious cyclists and a family-friendly bicycle event that serves to incorporate the very individuals that the proceeds are meant to benefit. In this way, children and their parents / guardians can enjoy being together in a fun and structured environment, while learning about services that can benefit the health and welfare of their family.

Ride Details:
  • Check In and Line Up begin at 6:00 am
  • 30 mi begins at 7:00 am; Family ride 8:00 am
  • All routes begin and end at Jasper High School on Archgate Road
  • Only early registration and payment guarantee a Free T-Shirt on the Day of Event.
Pre-Ride Pasta Dinner:

Carb up for the ride and come meet your fellow riders and volunteers the night before the event -- Friday, August 6th. The Relief Nursery of Collin County will talk to us about the good work they're doing for the families of Collin County.

The Limelight: Children's Medical Center Plano - Women's Auxiliary, Legacy Chapter



Children’s Medical Center is pleased to introduce the Legacy Chapter of the Women’s Auxiliary. The Dallas Chapter is a well-established organization making a difference for nearly 50 years and raising approx $15 million for Children’s Medical Center. The new Plano-based Chapter of the Auxiliary will begin making an impact on the Children’s Legacy Campus (located on Preston Rd in Plano) with the help of dedicated volunteers.

Membership
Membership is open to all women interested in supporting the Auxiliary’s mission of helping Children’s Medical Center at Legacy make life better for children. Annual dues are only $50 for the Friend level and $100 for the Patron level with the fiscal year beginning July 1. Lifetime memberships are offered for a one-time only payment of $500. Patriotic Pops on the 4th of July!


What better way to spend the 4th than to join Conductor Hector Guzman and the Plano Symphony Orchestra at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for a rousing and inspiring tribute to our country. The program will feature many of our patriotic favorites, including Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever", a patriotic sing-a-long, a salute to the Armed Forces and much more.
