The Family Place Holds Partners Card Announcement Party

Over 150 guests overlooked the gorgeous Dallas skyline from the rooftop terrace of DEC on Dragon Thursday, January 25, where The Family Place held the Partners Card Announcement Party. Retailers, sponsors, past chairs and other supporters joined co-chairs Brynn Bagot Allday and Jennifer Burns, as they celebrated the record-breaking 25^th anniversary of Partners Card presented by Bank of Texas and benefiting The Family Place. More than $1 million was raised making it possible to provide over 14,000 nights of lifesaving shelter for men, women and children escaping domestic violence which represented an increase in funding from last year’s campaign.

Guests celebrated their accomplishments with music by DJ Niro, strolling bites provided by Food Glorious Food, an open bar, and the fabulous view of downtown Dallas. Partners Card 2017 Co-chairs Brynn Bagot Allday and Jennifer Burns kicked off remarks by thanking retailers, sponsors, card sellers, volunteers and media who make the annual Partners Card fundraiser possible each year.

 

Allday introduced Bank of Texas Dallas Market Executive Bob White, who spoke on behalf of the bank, which has been the presenting sponsor of Partners Card for 10 years and officially committed to sponsoring Partners Card again in 2018. "What The Family Place is doing is important, end of story. It’s important to the country, it’s important to Dallas and what happens here tonight matters," he said.

Family Place CEO Paige Flink concluded remarks by showing appreciation to everyone who was involved in making Partners Card the largest fundraiser for The Family Place, and Paula Davis was recognized as the top community seller for selling 166 Partners Cards. The other top sellers were Sara and Cass Robinson and Jody and Mike Coffey. All top sellers received a special prize from Bachendorf’s. In addition, Flink announced the 2018 Partners Card Co-chairs - Leigh Danley, Tierney Kaufman and the first-ever male chairman, Julian Leaver.

The Family Place Launched The Silver Card, A New Level of Giving

Partners Card, presented by Bank of Texas and benefiting The Family Place, introduced a new level of giving and shopping Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at the Silver Card Launch Party hosted by Bungalow 5. The Family Place announced the special, limited-edition Silver Card to the crowd of more than 150, including past Partners Card chairs, participating retailers, sponsors, card sellers and more. Light bites were provided by Proper Catering & Events and cocktails and wine were donated by Impeccable Rosé Brut, Impatience Rosé and Times Ten Cellars. Additional event sponsors included: BEYOND and Top Tier Event Rentals & Staffing.

Partners Card 2017 Co-chair Jennifer Burns welcomed guests and expressed how “grateful we are to be amongst such a strong community network that supports The Family Place Partners Card program and one that supports putting an end to family violence. We are so excited to be celebrating 25 years, the silver anniversary of Partners Card, a fundraiser that is both fun and vital to our community.”  Jennifer also recognized Honorary Chairs Joanne and Charles Teichman, as well as all Partners Card sponsors for their continued support.

Brynn Bagot Allday, Partners Card 2017 Co-chair, thanked media sponsors for their ongoing support in helping to spread the word about Partners Card and the mission of The Family Place.  Brynn introduced Mandy Austin, senior vice president and commercial banking manager for Bank of Texas, which has served as presenting sponsor of Partners Card for the past eight years.

The Silver Card will allow cardholders 20 percent off at participating retail locations, and they will also receive a 25 percent discount at more than 85 select Silver Card locations. The Silver Card also grants cardholders two extra days of shopping at participating Silver Card retailers Wednesday, October 25 and Thursday, October 26, 2017, in addition to the standard 10-days of Partners Card shopping from Friday, October 27 through Sunday, November 5, 2017. Guests were invited to pre-purchase one of the 100 Silver Cards that will be sold following remarks.
