Enjoy The Spirit of Taos Right Here in Dallas



Hosted by the Friends of Wilkinson Center, the annual Spirit of Taos event brings a southwest flare with food, music and dancing!

 Guests enjoy a cocktail reception, where everyone has their drink of choice and some passed appetizers. A casual seated dinner follows, with tacos, brisket sliders, yuca fries and Emporium Pies. Guests enjoy live music, dancing and an amazing raffle.

Friends of Wilkinson Center's First-Ever Spirit of Taos Event Full of Turquoise, Boots and Bling

Friends of Wilkinson Center gathered to celebrate The Spirit of Taos at this inaugural event.  The themed fundraiser was held at The Lot in Dallas on Friday, November 7th.

Guests were entertained by Michael Hearne of Taos fame. Honorary Chairs were Ann and Bob Dyer.  The event was a sell out -- a big success!
 
The raffle prizes included a weekend in Taos, complete with golf, wine tasting and gourmet dining; custom boots; champagne lunch for winner and 10 friends; and more.

Each guest was greeted with wine or a margarita. There was a cocktail reception from 6:30-7:45 which consisted of passed appetizers -- chicken and cheese quesadillas, mini pimento cheese sandwiches, tostadas and flautaus with avocado dipping sauce. There were also food stations set up with hummas and fried cauliflower. After the cocktail reception, attendees enjoyed a seated dinner -- a taco plate with 2 tacos and a brisket slider with yuca fries and queso, salsa, guacamole and chips. Emporium Pies offered a delicious chocolate and pecan pie dessert.

Spirit of Taos Kick Off Event at Melissa Benge Collection {Society Pics}

Friends of Wilkinson Center gathered on Tuesday, October 7th at Melissa Benge Collection to kick off their upcoming "Spirit of Taos" event.

Honorary Chairs Ann & Bob Dyer were among the Southwestern-Chic dressed guests. Socialites snacked on chicken and beef taquitos, queso, guacamole, and other small bites that fit the theme.

 Event chairs Missy Huber and Cathy Brittingham Saxon welcomed guests, and their excitement for this upcoming inaugural event was contagious.

Friends of Wilkinson Center Present Inaugural Spirit of Taos Event

 
Friends of Wilkinson Center have created a new Fall event -- The Spirit of Taos -- in place of their annual White Gala.
 
This inaugural event will be held Friday, November 7, 2014, at The Lot in Dallas, from 6:30 PM to 12:30 AM.
 
Michael Hearne, of Taos fame, will be the Musical Guest.
Honorary Chairs are Ann and Bob Dyer.
