Cadillac Pizza Pub Honors GO TEXAN This Month

 

Cadillac Pizza Pub in historic downtown McKinney honors GO TEXAN through July 31 with a themed Research & Development Pizza. The popular R&D Pizza will showcase local Texas sausage and smoked Gouda cheese McKinney’s own Hamm’s Custom Meats. A portion of the proceeds from each R&D Pizza sold will benefit the North Texas Food Bank which distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of partner agencies.

Taverna Rossa and Cadillac Pizza Pub "Chip-Off" - Portion of Proceeds Benefit NTFB

Through March 31, one of MY favorite restaurants Taverna Rossa and their sister restaurant Cadillac Pizza Pub are letting guests “Choose their Chip” to accompany their popular queso. Typically served at the restaurants with Fritos (brilliant, right?!), requests for classic tortilla chips raised the question of which chip to pair with the signature queso chock- full of local Texas sausage, house pickled jalapenos, white onion, bell pepper, tomato and garlic.

 

Always encouraging customer feedback, Taverna Rossa and Cadillac Pizza Pub decided to let the customer voice their opinion and vote for their favorite chip after tasting the appetizer with both Frito chips and tortilla chips. The prevailing chip will be served with the queso beginning in April.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the cheesy dip will benefit the North Texas Food Bank.  Hurry over to one of these restaurants this month to enjoy the Texas staple food -- chips and queso -- AND support North Texas Food Bank's goal of feeding the hungry.
