Big D Reads officially launches on September 1st!
50+ community organizations including civic institutions, corporations, and nonprofits have volunteered to come back together to fund and host events centered around advancing equity.
Together, they're distributing 30,000 free paperback copies of Jim Schutze’s The Accommodation, republished last September by local nonprofit Deep Vellum Publishing.
The goal of this initiative is to spark dialogue and community around Dallas’ history, and perhaps more importantly, get disparate groups talking about our city’s future.
The free paperback special edition books are available starting September 1st.
There are a number of distribution points across the city where you will be able to pick up your FREE copy - check out the location list here.
