Connie Yates, the voice of Tom Thumb (Albertsons and Randalls) since 1995, was recently honored with the Children’s Hope Award for her extraordinary impact and commitment to philanthropy. Connie’s service to the local Dallas/Fort Worth community is legendary, and she’s well known for the extensive charitable giving partnerships she helped form for Tom Thumb, including Baylor Scott & White Foundation, Children’s Health Foundation, Red Cross Disaster Relief, WFAA’s Santa’s Helpers, Dallas, North Texas and Greater Fort Worth Komen Race for the Cure, Wipe Out Kids Cancer, Muscular Dystrophy.
The Children’s Hope Dinner provides urgently needed funds that support the Orphan Outreach programs around the world serving orphaned and vulnerable children so that they have the physical, educational, emotional and spiritual care they need to thrive. Since its inception, the Children’s Hope Dinner has raised more than $2.5 million dollars for vulnerable children.
Orphan Outreach is a global nonprofit ministry that believes every orphaned and vulnerable child should receive the support they need to have a fulfilling, independent life in their community. We provide holistic care, promote family, prepare young adults for independence and protect the rights of children.
