The position of Chief Executive Officer for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County is E. Michael (Mike) Simpson it was announced this week. The former mayor of Frisco has served on many boards in the community and has received many awards including the Tom Landry Leadership Award in 2009 by Dallas Baptist University. The Boys and Girls Clubs serve over 8,000 children in Collin County and the needs are increasing as the region continues to be one on the fastest growing in the country.
Mike's leaderships will provide direction and support to the Board of Directors in the developemnt of their goals. He will also work to attain the necessary resources to expand the Club's services, programs and activities.
The BGCCC's mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. BGCCCC curently has brances in Plano, McKinney and Frisco as well as an onsite center at Shepton High School in Plano and an extension site at Parkway Hills Baptist Church.
