To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hermes in Dallas, they invited families to come out for a Dallas Zoo Adventure! Highland Park Village became the temporary home to an alligator, penguins, an owl and a turtle! It was so much fun!
We followed the footsteps laid out from the Hermes boutique in Highland Park Village to the small tent where we were greeted by balloons and gentlemen in amazing hand made paper masks.
The penguins were my son, JR's, favorite animals to see. He was so eager to touch them but he was warned that they bite! They were originally from Africa so they were accustomed to the beautiful warm weather.
The alligator was amazing! The zoo keeper taught us that one easy way to tell an alligator from a crocodile is by looking at the teeth when the mouth is closed. On an alligator, only the top teeth will show. On a crocodile, you will be able to see both the top teeth and the snarly bottom teeth!
The owl was my favorite but she was hard to get a photo of. She kept turning her head all the way around!
They had lots of adorable games for the kids. JR won a coloring book, candy and tickets to the zoo!
The face painter did a fantastic job of decorating the little ones with elephants and birds. This is Dallas Zoo Board member, Maria Plankinton's son Jack with an elephant!
The refreshments were perfect! Lemonade, Iced Tea, Strawberry sparkling water and popcorn were laid out beautifully inside the tent.
Here is Maria Plankinton with Michael Meadows and her new Limited Edition Hermes Scarf that was created to honor and benefit the Dallas Zoo. It comes in Pink and Yellow too!
