With the growing numbers of charitable needs coupled with a more diverse base of volunteers in Collin County, the Junior League of Plano, after 35 years decided to rebrand as the Junior League of Collin County. The new name reflects the growing member base and wider community impact that they have as Collin County has grown.
The League's current membership has grown to over 900 stretching from Plano to McKinney and beyond. Moreover, 70 percent of the agencies that the League serves are dispersed throughout Collin County.
The League is currently recruiting for the 2011-1012 membership class. Deadline to apply is July 15, 2011. More information can be found on their website at www.jlcollincounty.org.
Additionally, the Junior League of Collin County will be celebrating it's 35 years of service with a special gift to the community on September 19, 2011. More details regarding the gift will be forthcoming.
