Challenge Air for Kids and Friends is a not-for-profit organization offering motivational, inspirational and life-changing experiences to physically challenged children and youth through aviation. Since 1993, more than 23,000 children with special needs have participated in the Challenge Air program nationwide.
Challenge Air is dedicated to empowering the lives of children and youth with special needs through an exhilarating flight program. The organization works with local volunteers and community organizations to provide a day of inspiration for the children and families we serve at no cost to them.
Recently, Challenge Air has been forced to downsize due to lack of sponsorship. They wish to continue to serve children in every city they've hosted in the past despite the overwhelming program costs and administrative expenses. The Challenge Air program is offered free of charge to all children and families. However, in order for this program to be offered at no cost, corporate, foundation and individual sponsors are sought. Visit http://www.challengeair.com/ to learn how you can donate and/or to register for an upcoming event.
The next event in Dallas will be hosted at Dallas Love Field Airport on October 9, 2010. Visit http://challengeair.com/registration to learn how you can be a part of the experience.
"The human spirit prevails over any physical or mental obstacle. After a day with Challenge Air, no height seems unreachable…all it takes is desire and truly, the sky is the limit!" - Rick Amber, founder of Challenge Air
