The Hope Bracelet

100% of profits from the striking black onyx and sterling silver baubles ($125) benefits The Wilson Foundation, which supports education and health care initiatives for disadvantaged South African children.

This luxe 14 mm onyx beaded "Hope Bracelet" features The Wilson Foundation hand logo, pave set in sterling silver. Exclusive design by Sue Gragg Precious Jewels.

The Wilson Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established by Dallas philanthropist Trisha Wilson in 1997 to address the needs of disadvantaged and underserved children. Most of their work is focused in Limpopo Province, South Africa - about three hours North of Johannesburg - an area devastated by extreme poverty, unemployment, substandard education, and an HIV/AIDS pandemic that has left a staggering number of orphans and other vulnerable children in its wake.

Trisha Wilson's inspiration to establish The Wilson Foundation came as a result of her business travels around the world on behalf of her Dallas-based company, Wilson Associates. As designer of some of the most luxurious and exotic hotels, resorts and residences in the world, Wilson was moved by the contrast between privilege and poverty around the world and the importance of education in creating opportunities for advancement and economic independence.

The Tseelana Market- Oct. 8th

On October 8th, The Wilson Foundation's Program for children in South Africa will be hosting The Tseelana Market, featuring art, accessories, jewelry, and gifts. The Wilson Foundation began with the intent to raise money to provide educational opportunities for financially disadvantaged children, and has since expanded its scope to address the needs of the whole child, including providing health services, mentoring and arts & cultural enrichment.

With it's South Africa Program, the Wilson Foundation has built and expanded schools, constructed assembly halls, cafeterias, and residences. It has also provided scholarships to high school students to help give them the opportunity to further their educational studies. Help The Wilson Foundation spread hope to the disadvantaged children in South Africa by contributing to events like The Tseelana Market, a few moments of your time can mean a lifetime of promise for another.
