Rockin' Gala Raises over $1M for Advocacy Center!

A reception was held at Carolyn and Mark Speese's home recently to celebrate the success of the 2010 Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County "Rock On" Gala at the Hilton Anatole in April.

CEO Lynne McLean gave a heartfelt thanks from the center and its children to gala sponsors and donors, including the couple who issued a $100,000 matching grant for the Wings of Hope pledges made at the gala. The goal was quickly met with the help of Big Al and Kelli Raspberry from the Kidd Kraddick radio morning show who emcee'd the event.

The Advocacy Center has served more than 31,000 children , thanks in large part to the supports of the annual gala which brings in it's largest source of revenue.
Stay tuned for more information on the 2011 Gala being held once again at the Anatole in April of next year.

Collin County Children's Advocacy Safari Soiree Gala

Walking into the Anatole Hotel for the Safari Soiree for The Collin County Children's Advocacy Gala was like being transported to luxury safari holiday. No detail was missed. Rusty Glenn's fantastic arrangements and decor brought gasps from all the guests. The auction committee did an amazing job securing exciting and varied items for bid. The guests were entertained all through dinner with a tribute to the Broadway smash hit The Lion King. Vegas Headliner Comedian Frank Caliendo had the crowd roaring with laughter with his impressions of famous people like Al Pacino, John Madden, George W., Jay Leno and many more.
The goal of the committee was to bring in $1.2 million which was a lofty goal considering the "new" ecomony. The fantastic news is we just came a few thousand short of our goal!!
