Mercury One’s First Ever Virtual Event: America Goes Back to Work

 

Gena and Chuck Norris received the Bonhoeffer “Angel” Award at Mercury One’s first ever Virtual Event: America Goes Back to Work  hosted by founders Tania and Glenn Beck. Mercury One is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit humanitarian aid and education organization focused on restoring the human spirit based in Dallas, Texas.

“This evening we celebrate an unforgettable evening of hope, heritage and the best of humanity,” Glenn Beck, Founder of Mercury One said. “On this special night, we rejoice in the lives of those impacted by our humanitarian relief efforts, education programs, and preservation of American heritage. Together, we will chart the way forward as we seek to better our country and the world around us.” 

“Without the support of the community, none of this is possible,” Suzanne Grishman, Executive Director of Mercury One said. “This event is critical to our success as the funds raised support Mercury One’s general operations, ensuring that all program donations go directly to those that need it most.”

 Beck revealed that 2021 will be the 10th Anniversary and the beginning of the next chapter of Mercury One. He was joined by David Barton, founder of WallBuilders and his son, Tim Barton, president of WallBuilders, to unveil the American Journey Experience, a place where people can learn the real history of the United States and be immersed in the documents, artifacts, and stories that molded our country. The American Journey Experience features a myriad of American antiquities, including Franklin D. Roosevelt's wheelchair, the original script for Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds," and original letters written by President George Washington.

Event sponsors at different levels received a virtual in-home package, a chef-prepared meal delivered to their home. Rodney Strong Wine Estates provided a virtual in-home wine tasting presented by their winemaker and educator. A raffle featured a 2020 Mercedes-Benz A220 Sedan or A Once in a lifetime experience for an All-Expenses paid trip (airfare, transportation, hotel and meals) for two people to Dallas, Texas for a two-night stay and a day with Mercury One. The winner and guest will receive a tour of The New American Journey Training Center and the new American Journey Vault with Glenn Beck and David Barton.

Mercury One M1 Virtual Event: America Goes Back to Work

Tania and Glenn Beck will host the America Goes Back to Work M1 Virtual Event benefiting Mercury One on Saturday, October 24, 2020.  Mercury One is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit humanitarian aid and education organization focused on restoring the human spirit based in Dallas, Texas.

Upon announcing Mercury One’s first ever virtual event: 

“Join us on October 24 as we celebrate an unforgettable evening of hope, heritage and the best of humanity,” Glenn Beck, Founder of Mercury One said. “On this special night, we will rejoice in the lives of those impacted by our humanitarian relief efforts, education programs, and preservation of American heritage. Together, we will chart the way forward as we seek to better our country and the world around us.”

Rodney Strong Wine Estates will provide a virtual in-home wine tasting presented by their winemaker and educator. The event will be streamed from the American Journey Training Center.  It begins with a streamed VIP reception/conversation with Glenn for sponsors $10,000 and up. The program opens to everyone at 7:00 p.m. CST which will include remarks, special presentations, including the Angel Award presentation to Gena and Chuck Norris, followed by a live auction with Glenn Beck as the host.

Raffle Prize: 2020 Mercedes-Benz A220 Sedan

There will be a raffle the night of the event, which is open via the website for ticket sales now. Enter to win a 2020 Mercedes-Benz A220 Sedan or A Once in a lifetime experience for an All-Expenses paid trip (airfare, transportation, hotel and meals) for two people to Dallas, Texas for a two-night stay and a day with Mercury One. The winner and guest will receive a tour of The New American Journey Training Center and the new American Journey Vault with Glenn Beck and David Barton. (Date to be mutually decided upon in 2021 by all parties.  The first winner would be able to choose which item they would like, and the second winner drawn would receive the second prize.) Raffle tickets are $100 each.

2018 M1 Ball at Glenn Beck’s Mercury Studios Chaired by D’Andra Simmons Lock and Jeremy Lock - Get your tickets!


Join business and community leaders and supporters of Mercury One as they gather at Glenn Beck’s Mercury Studios for the M1Ball benefiting Mercury One, the nonprofit organization founded by him and his wife, Tania, on Saturday, November 17th

Chaired by D’Andra Simmons Lock and her husband, Jeremy Lock, the honorary chairs are Francie Moody-Dahlberg and her husband, Kevin Dahlberg. It is a real treat to attend this private party at such an exclusive location, inside the working radio and TV studio at Stage 19, named after Orson Welles’ Sound Stage at Universal. 

Guests will feel the excitement of experiencing the biggest TV and movie studio between New York and Hollywood in daily production where they will be greeted with the bigger-than-life sized robots from the 2013 live-production and movie Man In The Moon and join in the gala in the studios where films such as RoboCop, JFK, Silkwood, Born on the 4th of July and Problem Child were all filmed as well as shows likeWalker, Texas Ranger and Barney.

Setting the scene will be ten-foot tall photographs from a humanitarian mission in Iraq last fall and special exhibit of pop culture icons and pieces of historical, political and spiritual items reflecting America and its history.

 Mercury One, a 501(c)(3) charity was founded in 2011. The organization’s focus is in three different areas: Humanitarian Aid, including disaster relief, help for veterans, support in the fight against human trafficking; Education Initiatives and The Nazarene Fund, which will be depicted in tall posters placed around the studio. 

D’Andra and Jeremy had toured a bombed-out church site in Iraq last fall and recently gave a heartfelt and emotional retelling of their experiences in touring Iraq and the impact that has had on their lives, which was the strongest influence that has led them to the commitment as ball chairs this year. Jeremy said that not since his retirement from the Air Force in 2013 has he felt the sense of purpose and camaraderie than with this organization, which they have seen save lives, and he and D’Andra are truly honored to be on board. Dee Simmons is underwriting chair. 

Everyone has the opportunity now to purchase raffle ticket to enter to win a Mercedes-Benz 2018 CLA250. Tickets are $100 each and a limited number will be sold. Glenn Beck's Mercury One Announces Entertainment for November Ball

Savor Gastropub’s outside patio was the perfect urban oasis for Mercury One’s American Cowboy M1Ball kick-off party with founders and hosts Tanya and Glenn Beck and special surprise guests Kim and Aaron Watson, who jetted in from Abilene for the special event.

Chef John Coleman and his team served sumptuous hors d’oeuvres from savory to sweet throughout the evening as guests were buzzing about the pending announcements by Suzanne Bock Grishman, Mercury One’s executive director.  Spotted in the crowd were Brad Staggs, Beth Knott, D’Andra Simmons Lock and Jeremy Lock, Ashley Berges, and more.   

Suzanne welcomed everyone saying, “Mercury One is a humanitarian aid and education organization focused on restoring the human spirit,” and explained the initiatives and programs the foundation supports, including most recently sponsoring the Dallas Film Society’s High School Roundtables in the 2016 through 2017 academic year, their High School Day and Stand to Honor in Dallas honoring veterans.

Mercury One’s initiatives include providing programs to individuals to advance the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for communities to help themselves as well as assisting our nation’s veterans, providing aid to those in crisis, and rebuilding and restoring the lives of Christians and other persecuted religious minorities in the Middle East.

 A rousing round of applause followed the mission statement as Suzanne announced the M1Ball American Cowboy happens on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Eddie Deen’s Ranch in Dallas. Guests are encouraged to dress in cowboy chic and join honorary chairs Gina and Ken Betts, hosts Tanya and Glenn Beck and enjoy dancing to one of today’s finest torch-bearers of real country music, singer and Texas native, Aaron Watson.

Sponsors and patrons at certain levels will be treated to a VIP reception and then join in the party as everyone enjoys delicious vittles as only Eddie Deen’s can do, live and silent auctions of priceless experiences and one-of-a-kind treats, and dance the night away. 

Mercury One founder Glenn Beck was welcomed to the podium and as a hush fell over the crowd, he shared stories about rescuing Christian families in Iraq and Syria and as major partner with his Nazarene Fund, also taking care of their transition to safety. He said later this year there will be an announcement about a major education initiative, as the crowd stood and gave a resounding ovation.

  Glenn thanked Aaron Watson who said he is excited about the November 18 event and honored to be involved with Mercury One, “As good Samaritans around the globe, their talk is backed up with actions that change the world.”
