The Art of the French Table






You can have a little piece of France in the heart of Dallas! Come enjoy French-styled wines from Calais Winery and lovely foods to compliment them as you learn the key elements of entertaining as the French do. Pierre Deux is graciously hosting the event in their Design District setting, as Dr. Elizabeth New, President and Founder of French Affaires, will give a talk on table settings and entertaining, including a tour of tables from France.
Pierre Deux will be offering a 20% shopping discount for patrons that day. In addition, they will also be donating 10% of the proceeds from the event to the Texan French Alliance for the Arts newly formed Dallas chapter. Oui oui!

French Affaires Fall Trip: "Gourmet Paris"



For all of your Francophiles living in Dallas, here is an exciting trip for you! French Affaires will be taking a trip from November 2nd-8th, 2010 for a culinary excursion that will allow anyone who dreams of gourmet French food and visits to exciting landmarks, an exciting vacation. Below are some of the trip highlights:



  • Alain Ducasse Cooking School class with seated dinner

  • Susan Herrmann Loomis of "On Rue Tatin" hands-on cooking class & seated lunch with an open-air market tour

  • Champagne tasting at Paris's best Champagne bar

  • Lunches and dinners at superb French restaurants...and so much more!

Upon returning join Dr. Elizabeth New, a native Texan and founder of French Affaires, for classes at L'Ancestral about all things French or meeting others from Dallas at the Barnes & Noble Lincoln Park (across from Northpark Center) for learning French basics.
