Green Grocer continues its Chefs’ Choice Charity program in August

Green Grocer continues its Chefs’ Choice Charity program in August with Chef Graham Dodds and choice charity Promise of Peace Garden. A non-profit organization seeking simple solutions for stagnate circumstances in urban communities, Promise of Peace helps to increase healthy life styles, school success, as well as positive engagement while transforming perspectives.

 

The Chefs’ Choice Charity program features a new chef, menu item and juice each month with a portion of the proceeds donated to a favored non-profit.

 On Tuesday night, Green Grocer sampled Chef Dodds’ grilled Panini with chèvre, sautéed squash ribbons, Promise of Peace garden mint and pickled red onion on olive sourdough from Village Baking Company as well as the signature smoothie along with bites and sips from several Green Grocer partners. The Chef inspired smoothie dubbed “Honey Graham”, is a blend of local melon, mint and honey. A portion of the proceeds from each will benefit Promise of Peace Garden through August 31.

Green Grocer Chefs' Choice Charity Program Benefits Cafe Momentum

Green Grocer continues its Chefs’ Choice Charity program in July, benefitting Chef Chad Houser’s Café Momentum, a program which teaches critical skills that allow youth to apply what they have been taught in pre-release programs in a safe, real-world environment of nurturing accountability.

 

On Tuesday July 1 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Green Grocer features samples of Chef Houser’s braised grass-fed brisket taco with cilantro pesto and chevre, signature pressed juice as well as bites and sips from several Green Grocer partners. Additionally, Green Grocer has created a juice inspired by Chef Houser dubbed “The O.G” a blend of organic green apples, cucumber, jalapeno and kale. A portion of the proceeds from each will benefit Café Momentum through July 31.
