Pianists, violinists, singers, and dancers
performed a variety of musical genres, and as a grand finale a ballet dancer
and painter adapted a performance to an original piano composition played
live by PCSOM founder Eva Brandys.
The showcase was held at the recently opened Lakewood Conservatory of Fine Arts - the only fine arts program to offer music, art and dance curriculums to all ages.
This year the program format evolved to
welcome three special guests and an open mic. Mark Landson, founder of Open
Classical—an organization that brings classical music into the heart of every
day popular culture, performed on violin. Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet
performing troupe will demonstrate their modern choreography and Jasmine Barnes
of the Dallas Opera Chorus sang soprano. Open Classical also led an
open mic session to follow the conclusion of the concert.
