As Heart of a Warrior Charitable Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, Deals & Dreams
Casino Night is always designed as a fun-filled evening with a focus on raising important dollars for the non-profit and its summer learning program. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, November 8 from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. at Altitude at the W Dallas Victory Hotel. The 2014 Event Chairs are Valerie and Mike Karns.
The Saturday evening event will offer the romance of Old Havana with classic movies and “celebrity” sightings including Ernest Hemingway and Tropicana Club-style dancers. VIP emcee Ron Corning, anchor for WFAA’s News 8 Daybreak, will keep the energy flowing and encourage guests to bet big and purchase raffle tickets. A menu designed by the W Hotel chefs will carry the Havana Nights theme for all guests to enjoy.
Luxury and fashion goods and experiences with a combined value of tens of thousands of dollars will be raffled during the evening. Ten one-of-a-kind packages will be given to lucky raffle ticket holders. Packages include 2 tickets to The Ellen DeGeneres Show and a Warner Brothers Studio VIP tour, Dallas Cowboys luxury suite tickets, Mavs tickets, dining at Meso Maya, VIP Tootsie’s Package, $1000 shopping experiences at Rich Hippie and Edo Popken of Switzerland, suite experience at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie and more. At the end of the night, guests can cash in their chips and total their earnings in hopes of winning one of the two high-roller prizes, including an LG 60” Smart HDTV, complete with Playstation 4 gaming console and game.
A Patron Party will be held on October 21 at Meso Maya downtown, generously underwritten and hosted by Deals & Dreams Event Chairs, Valerie and Mike Karns. The Karns are owners of Firebird Restaurant Group which includes Meso Maya, El Fenix, Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar and Taqueria La Ventana.
