The Friends of the Santa Fe Trail present THE 5K ON THE SANTA FE on Thursday, October 9. Registration in advance at www.FriendsofSantaFeTrail.org. Same-day registration begins at 5:30 p.m. at Randall Park.
Over the past 4 years, the Friends of the Santa Fe Trail have used the proceeds of the run to fund a master plan for the trail, clean up days, way-finding signs and most recently painting the Brookside Bridge. 2014 funds will be used for trees, water fountains, benches, signs and items from the master plan.
Cost is from $10 per person for non-runners and children under 12. Runners in the 5k are $30 per person which includes t-shirt, bib, commemorative glass, and beer garden, live entertainment from Ronnie Fauss as well as complimentary bag and bike check.
The race begins 6:15 PM at Randall Park on the Santa Fe Trail (100 North Glasgow Drive, Dallas, 75214).
Sponsors to date include Comerica Bank, Dallas Running Club, Jani King, The Old Monk and RunFar Racing Services.
