Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities is proud to announce the fourth
annual Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational, presented by SoftLayer. The star-studded
two-day event is highlighted this year by “Dancing with the Smiths,” a gala
dinner on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Omni Dallas Hotel. The festivities
resume the following morning with an 18-hole celebrity golf tournament on
Saturday, May 11, at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney.
Friday’s “Dancing with the Smiths” will include a live show and dinner
that features friends of Emmitt’s from his two seasons on Dancing with the Stars. Dancers
provided by Studio 22, the Dallas-based dance studio where Emmitt trained, will
also perform. The event will culminate with an auction and other entertainment.
The evening kicks off with a red carpet entrance that will be televised live
locally, for the second consecutive year, by FOX 4 television.
Michael Irvin, Mark Cuban and reigning Dancing with the Stars champion, Melissa Rycroft Strickland, serve
as the weekend’s Honorary Hosts. Jan and Jeff Rich and Carole and Scott Murray are
the event’s Honorary Chairs.
