Klyde Warren Park Preview

The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation announced yesterday the first programming partners who will bring music, fitness, education, games and art into the park, which opens in twelve weeks. Five acres of shared, public green space will deck over the existing Woodall Rodgers Freeway, bringing new traditions, shared experiences and FUN to the center of Dallas.

The park will maintain a constant stream of free daily activities, such as yoga, Tai Chi, chess, book clubs lectures and live performances.  Partners include Bikram Yoga, Booker T Washington High School, Crow Collection of Asian Art, Dallas Children's Theater, Dallas Film Society, Dallas Opera, Dallas Regional Chamber, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Fido's Finest Dog Training, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, The Shabby Sheep, SMU, Texas Ballet Theater, UTD and others.

Klyde Warren Park will host a grand opening weekend on October 27-28.

This Sunday, August 5 at 8:00am CST, Travel Channel's show "Off Limits" will feature Klyde Warren Park. President Mark Banta and Project Manager Keith Bjerke hosted Don Wildman and the crew of Off Limits in April, giving them exclusive access to the site. If you’ve been wondering what the construction looks like on the deck or what it would be like to walk through the tunnel, you will enjoy the behind-the-scenes show. Set your DVRs!
