ABOUT THE FOUNDERS AWARD LUNCHEON:
The luncheon, which draws an audience of 400-500 social and civic leaders from Dallas, helps raise awareness of the importance of the arts in our community through The Dallas Opera’s educational outreach programs. This must-attend luncheon honors a person or couple who have given longstanding support to The Dallas Opera and the Arts in Dallas. The Martineaus’ love and loyalty to the arts is exemplified in their active participation on The Dallas Opera Board, the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts Foundation, The Women’s Board of the Dallas Opera, the Dallas Summer Musicals Board, and the SMU Meadows School of the Arts. The award was named in honor of Dallas Opera Founders Juanita and Henry S. Miller, Jr.
