Dallas Green Drinks

The Event: We’ve selected energy efficiency as the first issue we’d like to help businesses improve upon and have selected 12 local restaurants to compete for the mob by promising to spend a percentage of their receipts on energy efficiency improvements. The business that comes back with the highest bid wins! We will invite you to vote with your dollars and come join us for Carrotmob at a select venue on the evening of 10/13. Follow the progress of the event on our-Dallas Carrotmob blog.

What: Greendrinks is an informal and lively opportunity to tap into Dallas’s sustainability hub—a place to wind down after work, hear an enriching but brief presentation, play our green trivia "Fact or Crap" game, and win some great local-vendor prizes . This event, which is held once a month at a different local venue, attracts an average of 60-65 people and features a diverse and vibrant eco-concscious crowd. Dallas Greendrinks is part of an international movement thriving in over 737 international cities. More intellectually enriching than a pure networking event, Greendrinks is the ideal balance of socializing and learning.

When: Wednesday October 13, 2010 at 6 p.m.

Where: To be determined. The lucky winner will get all of our business with a goal of doubling or tripling the revenue for the evening.

  1. This first-ever Texas Carrotmob will be held at LaGrange in Deep Ellum (at 2704 Elm Street) from 5 to midnight. There is a great band lineup and free parking. Free parking is at the Union Bankers Building vacant land at the NW corner of Elm and Good Latimer - one block west of LaGrange.
We can't wait to see you there tomorrow night.
Green can be fun and productive. Come join us in showing that it can be done with the sheer power of consumer choice - one business at a time.

  2. The location and time of the event has been confirmed.

Come join us tomorrow from 5 to midnight at the historic LaGrange at 2704 Elm Street.

Under the wider umbrella of TEDxSMU Idea Week, this idea was started as a creative, forward-thinking experiment to support and drive the social, economic and environmental triple bottom line and harness the power of the conscious consumer - YOU - to make a difference. Come have fun and read more about it on our blog:
