On October 7, 2010, approximately 350 guests gathered at the home of Lisa and Kenny Troutt at attend the inaugural Troutt Lecture Series.

"Council for Life committed to the Sanctity of Life and to the belief that all life begins at conception, said Laurie Connell, CFL President. We exist to equip and educate our community about the complex issues that surround unplanned pregnancies. We provide financial support to agencies that share our mission of empowering our community to make life-affirming choices. In the nine years that CFL has existed, we have grown to over 750 members and as the result of our Luncheon underwriting efforts, we have donated more than $2.2 million to 27 life-affirming agencies."
